Thanks for this video. I've used the textured rollers for spot use on running muscles but I've not used one like you showed. I'm going to try it.

Can you suggest how to do the knees on foam roller work without a wrist? My wrist is fully fused. Can I use dip bars or will that throw off the spinal alignment?
@drkristieennis
Жыл бұрын
You can definitely use bars or weights, just make sure you are doing what you can to keep a neutral spine:)
Hi, curious to know why you are not using the roller for soft tissue anymore?
@drkristieennis

I find it’s too aggressive and causes more discomfort than help. We have learned, fortunately, that you don’t need to be aggressive to make changes. It’s more about communicating with the brain to get things to relax.
Is there a reason you don’t use the foam roller for soft tissue work? Thanks Carmen Marco

Wow, great idea! Unfortunately my foam roller is the knobby kind though. 😭😭

Hi doctor, I’m just curious if these exercises work for men as well? I’m asking because they’re very similar to what I’ve been already doing but more advanced with the use of foam roller. Also, do you do them everyday? Thanks.
@drkristieennis

They do also work for men! I typically start people every other day.

😀I use biodegradable bubble wrap (2 layers), it works great and is much cheaper than a mat. Use a couple of yards for a roll. All this gym stuff is so expensive for poorer people.

I'm sorry doctor, but your legs are just so amazing. 😍(what a sentence😊)
Too bad that more women weren't as concerned about their bodies as you are. And yes, I'll throw men into that mix too. I'm 62 and my thumbnail is me 2 weeks ago after finally giving up sweets and hitting my abs so they matched the rest of my body as I've worked out for years. I lost 35 pounds and it took 6 months and now I'm 5'10 170. I'll never go back to being what I considered overweight.
