I have done loads of ab exercises on KZread and this is hands down the best I've done. Really activates the lower abs without activating the hip flexor which is just what I needed. Thanks.

Thanks Doc. I am a 70 year old man, 6'4" 205 lbs who has had herniated discs at L3-L4 and L4-L5 for about 45 years. I have been doing 2 cycles of this series for about 6 weeks. My lower back is now far more stable than it has been in years. I will soon check out your other recommendations in hopes my old body responds to those as well.

I felt like I never did abs before...I know I was skipping training them too much but damn...also I need more flexibility, can't keep my legs straight on some of those exercises. Thank you for the video. I was able to follow it through like 80%. Will look into some beginner abs workout of yours as well.

Great video, Dr Ennis. I am a new subscriber and not sure you have addressed this in your other videos but do you have good preventative exercises for Kyphosis or Dowager Hump. I have good posture now and want to make sure I keep it that way. 👍 Thank you.

@@drkristieennis thanks. I'm glad to hear that 😁. It's mainly the ones where you put your legs up in the air 90° to you on your back. Mine don't want to stay there! Anyway today's exercise is paddle boarding several miles down the river. Good for the core but not as hard as a kristie Ennis abs workout 😅

Took me 15+ minutes to do this, rest, swearing and hydration inclusive. How many times can/should you do this a week if for eg. you're working out like 5 times a week for diff muscle groups (like a min and a max too)? And how much of a warm-up is necessary for this?

I've been doing some core exercises, lol one was the plank, which I'll now change. Love your posts, they are excellent to watch. doing quite a few of the different stretches. Tia

That sounds like it might be hip flexor tendon. When this happens, I tell my patients to really focus in on engaging the abs. Also, keeping one foot down and the knee bent can help.
