@@PunkFuckUp yes because we all know that punishing violent offenders gets us... oh wait it doesn't actually do anything at all apart from make them more violent. Great thinking bud. What you actually want is lynchings and mob justice to feel some kind of righteous sadism. You just want to see bad people get hurt. Reform is not coddling, reform is active mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy etc. which is pretty clearly shown with an abundance of evidence that rehabilitation through these methods is much more successful than whatever psychopathic torture room for nonces you have clearly fantasised about. You _actually_ have the same self righteous and sadistic streak of those violent criminals and I think you deserve reforming. Oh and p.s. yeah im a survivor of abuse and I still hold the same view that rehabilitation is the answer and power-tripping prison guards are very much violent cold abusers. Not the good guys as you would like to think.

Unfortunately, the system is wrong. The police, investigators, etc have to abide by the rules, laws. The sentences are not a deterrent. Just a slap on the wrist. Harsh and long jail time will definitely help. They should have got at least 20 years minimum and actual jail time, not half the sentence. The reoffending rate in this country is about 80% (my estimate). Its ridiculous. Its just like a breaktime sentence for them. What about the countless women's life they have ruined. That's a life sentence on its own. Very harsh real-time sentences is what we need.

We need to have extremely harsh punishments for criminals of this nature. The tarrifs need to be as high as possible. I really feel that the whole legal system, particularly relating to any type of sex crime, needs to be overhauled and the actual Victims, experience at the hands of the traffickers and their paying clients, is taken into account and its, really understood as to how much these crimes impact the victim.

Why even bother writing this if you don't explain why you think I'm wrong? Someone wrote an anonymous letter informing the police of this criminal gangs activities. Probably a vulnerable woman that was too scared to come forward for fear of reprisals. Now explain why you think it is a good idea to read the exact wording and show that letter and or any anonymous letter from informers on television? This obviously makes it easier for a criminal gang to identify the person that informed on them. They could just as easily say they had an anonymous tip-off about the gang without reading the exact wording and showing the letter. If the person wanted to be identified they would have given their name and obviously, this makes it more likely they will be identified by the gang and raises the possibility of a reprisal against them or someone else they suspect. I would certainly think twice about sending a letter or email knowing they might show it and read it out on television. The Police should do everything possible to protect anonymous sources.

Regardless of your moral stance on sex work, prohibitionism is still just stupid and ineffective. If we outlaw it (which I believe is technically the case in the UK, it’s just rarely pursued) what makes you think the market suddenly disappears? You think black markets don’t exist? You’re basically saying “if we want to stop drug dealers we should outlaw drugs.” Newsflash, there’s still plenty of drugs, and the prohibition arguably just makes the whole situation worse for all involved.

Was not long ago I found out my cousin, the man that raped me when between the age of 4 and 5 was in my village, in my old primary school dressed up as santa for the kids. I was taken into the police station for sending him messages that night threatening him to find him and get him hurt and telling him to get the fuck out my village. Got questioned and so did he after I spoke about what he had done to me before, which was included in records they have of the abuse of another child. For weeks I had phone calls from the police asking me for details about the years worth of molestation, (like where he put it😔) just to finally phone me up while I was on my break at work at 16 years old and tell me that he could not be reprimanded because he had been sent to a youths sex offender center for the rape of the other child. "justice"

Isqueakzmini... You're amazing for standing up; to your cousin and to protect other children. I reported my paedophile next door neighbour from childhood 18 years ago. He denied it, case closed. Case now reopened as someone else came forward to report his abuse. He's now feeling a morsel of how uncomfortable he made me feel. Icing on the cake if the police get a conviction. Victory indeed. Well done you. As survivors of abuse, we must report it to protect other women and not suffer in silence!
