Cool dad builds playhouse for 2 year birthday || Slide + Climbing Wall (TIME-LAPSE start to finish)
Yeah, I'm calling myself "cool dad" in the title ;) Some of you have seen snippets of this build on my instagram page @conor.love, well here is the full version. This is a time lapse video of almost all the clips of the build. This playhouse has a slide, climbing ladder, 3 doors, a tunnel, climbing wall, cat walk and railing. It was super fun to build with Ilya. For more clips of Ilya playing on it on the birthday day, watch until the end.
*side note on this video clip: Because I know some will ask: I often use power tools without safety equipment (shoes, glasses) because I feel safer, more dexterous and more connected with what I’m doing. This reminds me of when y’all had Winnie and you always were working on projects.
4 years ago I decided to make my daughter a two story playhouse out of mainly pallets. I say mainly, because I did have to get a couple larger boards and 2 beams to make sure the upper area was secure. The feeling of making your child something homemade, is such an incredible feeling. It's too small now, she's 8 and got my height, so she's already 5' tall. I'm trying to give it away, because I don't want to waste it and just demolish it. Hopefully somebody will take advantage of it, or even just reuse the wood. I really don't care what the next person does, as long as they just reuse the items so they don't go to waste. 💖

Off topic, but when I look at Ilya I realise that after two years I still havn’t got the foggiest idea what gender/anatomy they were born with (not that it matters), but for me it just shows how gender neutral children really are when allowed by their parents. I so wish I would have had this knowledge and awareness raising my now adult children. But, it is never to late to learn and I am learning by the minute even If I am now pushing 50. Thank you so much for letting us in you’ll lives ❤️.
