What model number is that? Mine is 1963212 extend2fit and I don’t have those red things for the seatbelt

When the child is out of the carseat, is the carseat still attached to the car somehow? Appreciate the helpful video!

Our 4ever DLX does not have an extension rack to remove the buckle so keep that in mind

Can it be used in this mode if there are no latch anchors in car? In that case seems like chair will fly forward, pushing its own weight against child into the seat belt. Is that OK?

Sense noone eles chimed in I will say your concerns are warranted. If the vehicle absolutely has no anchor points at all, i would at very least use some tie-down straps to secure the child seat to the car seats.

Does the booster still need to be secure on the seat? Strapped in..?

i have this carseat and it does latch. you can also use the seatbelt if your vehicle does not have the anchors.

@@marywilliams5754 If you don't have latch anchors, and child is using the seat belt, how do you anchor booster to car? Is the top tether enough? Seems like in accident the seat will be adding to the weight of child when they jerk forward, that can't be right can it? Can you use this in high back booster mode if there are no latch anchors in car?

@@1kcb796 Your concerns are warranted. If you absolutely have no anchors and the only way to secure the seat is using the seat belt, and your child has outgrown the built in harness then I would recommend using a couple tie-down straps to secure the child seat to the car seat. That way you can still utilize the seat belt as it was intended.

@@___Karma__ the car seats aren't tested for this and there's no reason to do that on a booster Use latch or anchor or clip the carseat belt when they leave the car.

My pediatrician told me to check with our state highway patrol but the side of the seat does have a guideline for the different height and weight for each setting.

How do you put the back on the booster? I took it off & now I can’t get it back on

This model goes from a 5 point harness seat to a backed booster which uses the seat belt instead. Later in the child’s life, the back can come off too. This is a middle stage of forward facing.

Because the child is no longer harnessed. The child uses the seat belt now

Thank you. I thought i was going crazy. Now these helicopters are creating a new intermediate stage inbetween car seat and booster by taking the seat's belts off and tilting it to six. Jesus christ rip the back off and let the kid out of his/her...oh sorry or they/them, car prison and start living,!

Maybe you don't care if your child is a fatality statistic, but I do. This is safer than a regular booster seat for a small body.

She’s says high back booster, you’re thinking of the lower half booster.

"pull the buckle up and then pull it out like that" might be the least least helpful thing I've ever seen on the internet. Please describe, in detail, the "like that" part
