No one else can come close to Connie, she leaves them all in her wake!!!

Truly a most wonderful and beautiful talent. She had to experience the lows and the highs in life and the sadness to sing and convey such emotions in her songs. I saw her not long after this at Carnegie Hall and she was superb. She was in love with Bobby Darin and her father broke them up and I don’t think she ever truly loved again. She never got the recognition she deserved during her singing career. Love her.

I saw her in London. She brought the roof down. She had the audience mesmerised. Considering what she had been through she was terrific. Not many females could survive what she did.

What a trooper! She had some throat problems days before this show. One of my friends was in the orchestra at this show. He told me that she had to try to save her voice at the rehearsal. She STILL did a fine job overall here. Do you realize how difficult it is to sing Al Di La and Mama even when you are hitting on all cylinders, so to speak? If you are having throat problems, it is really difficult to stay on pitch, and she STILL more than pulled it off. I give her so much credit. God bless her. :-)

Connie Francis, along with first consistently successful girl group of 50s the Chantels, not only warrant induction into the HOF, but also a public apology for their inexplicably long omission!!!!

I watched (and listened) again to this after five years. I am a musician who has played at shows for many legendary performers, so I know how difficult it is to do what she did here. I just respect Connie so much for going through with this concert when she was under the weather that day. Connie, in those years, was still singing quite well. It is not that she had lost her magnificent voice... not at all. She was just having some throat problems at the time of this appearance. The conductor, orchestra, and backup vocalists were superb, and Connie still did a very good job, in spite of not feeling good. Remember that she started out playing the accordion, could read music, and had excellent intonation throughout her career. I bet that it bothered her that she had to sort of finesse some of her notes a little bit here; and to me, that did not detract from her majestic qualities and overall classiness. I still consider her to be a tremendous, tremendous artist.

Connie, like so many other ignored artists are a note ‘above’ the Hall of Fame. Her dedicated fan base speaks of her success.

She still rocks! But in her heydays, if you happen to be in one of her concert, you'll get the feeling you're in wonderland. Her voice is so beautiful!

As Joni James Fan Club President I got to meet Joni in her dressing room after a fabulous concert in suburban Chicago. I had almost an hour with her, including me helping her finding a place to bring her staff to dinner. She is truly an Italian lady (as is Joni), not someone who wears stardom on her shoulders (same as Joni). Smart, wonderful to converse with and SO tiny!

So smooth. One of the great professionals of early rock. Consistent hits, reliable and classy. Always liked this woman's style. Slow songs, fast songs and she could sing in other languages. She makes it look so easy. Bruce Springsteen isn't the only rocker to come from New Jersey. She recorded at Abbey Road Studios before The Beatles. This was when rock was fun and that was always its original aim.
