I met Jim Carrey on a bus in Fairfield, Iowa. He was charming and funny-not overly manic, but he showed hints of it-and talked to everyone on the bus (twice)...at least 30 people in all. I’ll never forget it.

I got tingles of excitement when Conan first mentioned Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

I f*cking love this man. Ace Ventura raised me. Conan is real, love him too, but Carey is daddy LITERALLY.

I adore this man he is my childhood crush and hero. My dad had a bunch of Jim Carrey films on DVD and I'd just watch them over and over. I wasn't allowed to watch Me, Myself and Irene for a while though as I was like 7 at this point😂 I'm now 20 and still in love with his films... he's just such a humble being. I got a canvas one Christmas from my parents of Jim from Dumb and Dumber, it's hanging up in my bedroom and it's my favourite gift ever along with the Jim Carrey t-shirts. Just an absolutey amazing guy and wish I could meet him one day. I'll be very upset when he passes as I've grew up watching him 😭❤

Plus he paints impressively well, who would've imagined that? Remarkable talent. Also, hes' one of the few true improvisers of comedy, who can really be spontaneously hilarious at every interview often in totally unplanned ways. And although his phisical comedy tend to get the most attention, he's also very often super clever with his choice of words.

I totally agree with you!! I was 11 when Ace Ventura, the mask and dumb and dumber all came out the same year in 94 and Jim was the biggest star in the world then!!! There will never be another one like him ever!!!

the one thing I will always remember is that Conan cared enough to do a week in Toronto - risking his ratings but knew it would be comedy gold - One of the most "real" late night personalities - see you on HBO !

My old therapist was from Windsor Ontario. Former psychology professor and jazz bassist who retired at 90 and died at 92. Jim gave me so much joy with his movies.

Jim Carrey is a dynamo of energy and charisma. There is no one like him.

Jim is so talented, quick-witted, and amazing!

I miss this side of Jim Carrey. That man has been through a lot though (like many of us). It's really changed him but I hope maybe one day he can get back in touch with that inner child again.

People probably have only known of the Jim Carrey of the last 10 years or so but don't know Jim Carrey from the 80s through the mid-2000s was always wild and energetic in talk show interviews. Jim turns it on when he wants to- it's not coke. His interviews on Howard Stern and Charlie Rose present a more toned-down version of himself.

I’ve been watching Jim in one form or another since the mid-80’s myself! When I was a child in the 80’s one of my favorite movies to watch was “Once Bitten”, in which he was the main character, circa 1985! That was my introduction to him. Then I thoroughly enjoyed him in In Living Color in the early 90’s. He was the reason I started watching that show in their first season, because I knew him so well from that movie. Then Ace Ventura came out in 94, and the rest is history! 😁
