Have to agree on that. A drop away rest immediately improved my 40 and 50 meter shots compared to a whisker. Groups are now consistently better.

@b tamp lol trashing me on another post because you're too dumb to read what I actually said. I never once said better equipment won't make you a better archery. I clearly said (and will repeat for your remedial mind) than you don't necessarily need to have a lot of equipment to shoot a compound bow. There are barebow categories for compound that allow you to shoot via string walking etc so don't believe you need to have a lot of great equipment just to allow you to shoot a compound. You understand now dumb dumb?

@b tamp you know what, at this point I genuinely cannot be bothered to argue with someone who's only argument that has a valid point is pointing out someone's spelling (which is kind of pathetic to be honest, it shows how little you are in the world) You clearly have very little knowledge of archery and I genuinely hope for the sake of the sport that you're not a coach. I'm ending the argument now before you embarrass yourself anymore. Good luck🏹🏹

I picked up the NXT 31 starting at 60#'s. I turned up to approx 68 and it does get louder. I turned back down to approx 62 and it is more pleasant to shoot.

Using a short ata hunting bow set up at 60 meters is very little more difficult than some think it might be. Basically it all breaks down to achieving proper form. Modern bows are completely capable of doing the physical thing shot after shot. Many good shooters regularly make excellent shots at extended ranges. There's a world of difference between making a 60 meter kill shot ( inside 6-8" diameter) or shooting point at a 3-d contest. But many can do both with a short ata bow because they work at it.

Where I agree you should shoot a distance you're comfortable with do work on form, but how are you to get better at long-distance if you do not get out of your comfort zone and throw some arrows at longer range.

Great video! As an target and 3D archer, I think the size of your peep sight should be determined the normal light condtions... Don't use a Micro peep shooting indoors in poor light.... Been there, done that... No fun!!!

@@TheAegisClaw Well, I have an old (OLD) compound. The cams are not as shallow as most modern so derailment is not as likely. I also understood that a bow length of no less than 40 inches is needed due to sharp angle on drawn string for shorter.

Thanks to my STIMULUS CHECK, I bought the NXT31. I'm back on an death budget now but I made my own stabilizers (fwd & V-bar) and poored my own ingots for weights. Also added my own fwd legs like on the NTN using the extra stabilizer hole. So I have an NXT31 target bow. Thanks Steven you helped me get a great bow I will enjoy for the rest of my life.😃👍
