The 2 Berger holes are so you can put 2 bolts in & crank them down to keep rest from rotating on just one bolt. The riser cutouts in sight area are changed from 2 sight mount locations to just one, this allowed for more material in riser to accommodate the solid mount of the cable guard.

There’s no way I want to replace my halon 32 but I do love the look of this bow. Next year I look forward to seeing the next release with a bow that had more time to develop. This bow was thrown together and not that groundbreaking but I love the idea PSE wants to listen to Dudley.

There are lots of bows that do not have adjustable cable guides. I don’t see how this makes it a negative. If you’ve watched Dudley’s “opinion” on why he wanted to make this change you’ll understand.

I know there are, but most of them have yokes or different ways to tune. It's not necessarily a negative, but in my opinion having one that can move aids the tuning process a great deal with this cam system. I've heard his explanation and I totally get where he's coming from. Just an opinion, still a great bow.

If the limbs aren't the same color as the riser,. The only other color that works is black. IMHO. Some of the other things are a step back over the original. Just not worth the extra coin I don't think. Not just for a extra couple of holes and another color.

I had to shim my pse nxt 33 for a shoot this last weekend. I found an easy way to swap the shims in a press was to place a piece of painters blue tape below the cam, between the limbs when u r pulling the shims. They stick to it fairly easily. Getting the axle back thru is a pain but if u have a screwdriver that is the exact same size as the axle u can push that thru first to line everything up. I found moving both the top and bottom cam 1 small .20 spacer away from the cable side fixed a 3/4” tear. Initially I moved the big shim and the cam lean was so bad the string stop wouldn’t touch. Had to take it all back apart and reshim. Proving once again that small changes make a big difference in archery

A lot of people knocking this bow... I told myself I wasn’t even going to try one at SCHEELS and was just going to stick with my Mathews Vertix. I tried it, loved it, brought my vertix in to do a back to back comparison and decided to get one. Found a used one on eBay with 70-80# limbs, and I must have got lucky because once I put my rest on it was a perfect bullet hole right out of the box. I’m pulling 78# at 30” and it feels like I’m pulling my 65# vertix. Plus one perk I like that nobody mentions is the trough cut out of the front of the riser which for me aids in consistent grip when I’m at full draw and let my fingers rest in that groove. I’m shooting 510gr arrows at around 280fps and couldn’t be happier with my groups. 90% let off is such a blessing, I can hold my 5# holding weight all day. That evolve cam system is the smoothest draw cycle I’ve ever felt, and I feel that it makes the perceived draw weight a lot less that what it really is. I couldn’t be happier

I did watch John Dudley's video on how he designed the bow .Definitely worth a watch as he explains the arrow rest shape and how it was designed to take the Nock On rest, plus the riser design .I think the bow would work the best if you use all of his products and not try and fit other brands to it. It seems more for the John Dudley fan base and people who just want to use his product. Nice bow though.I am a bit of a PSE fan myself. You should really watch Johns video on this bow before make any judgement's That being said ,this is still a very honest video on how the bow performs and its similarity to the PSE EVO NXT

The Bow God Correct, however when you pull the axle out the top hats stay in the limbs until you remove them and don’t fall out all over the place and get lost. Also, there the combo of top hats has to equal .175 so there is no guesswork. You use the combo available to get the tune right.

This is very similar but the LT is almost a pound lighter. Have an Evoke 31. Love it. Wish they would leave the riser solid in front of the burger hole so a set screw has a place to grip. Like the bow pod holes, great for open ground hunts, other then that nothing special.

I liked the look of NXT, As much your paying PSE should already have the cams shimmed correctly by using a hooter shooter.. takes out human error. @@InsideOutPrecision True, I understand the human error, over the dozen or so PSE bows I've purchased. Only a handful of bows I didn't have to shim, 3 bows actually had the limbs in the wrong configuration. I'm just saying a hooter shooter would get it close enough that you wouldn't need to re shim, all you wouldneed is micro adjustments to cables/guard rest ect. It's been experience anyways, as much as a new bow costs and the lack of experienced bow tuners It would go along ways with bow all manufacturers not just PSE.

Crossbows are for handicapped people, old people with bad shoulders or weak little girls. John Dudley is neither, so I wouldn't look for a crossbow. Author's note; this comment was written in jest. But for real, get a bow! It's the best!

Like someone else said I'm a Dud fan and appreciate what he's done for the community, with that said I'm not a fan of this bow as a whole. I have watched all his videos about this and understand what he did and I get it..that's cool and all but most Nockon followers I know personally just follow him for the knowledge, not to be sheeple and "WeLl DuD sHoOtS tHiS aNd ThIs AnD tHaT So I aM tOo" lol. Find what works for you and use it, learn it inside and out, apply his teachings and learn to do stuff yourself. I'm not bashing by any means so NTN folks don't faceroll your keyboards ready to fight ahahahaha. Good on Dud being able to do what he's wanted to do for a long time. As far as your your review on this and pretty much everything else man I enjoyed it as always. I happen to agree with your "opinion" on nearly everything most of the time so I thoroughly enjoy your videos and what I consider to some of the most unbiased reviews out there. Thanks brother.

I reckon pse has been chasing Mathews forna couple years now. They can't directly copy the top hat system so they have to use all those washers lol

The main issue is that Mathews has a patent on the top hat system and PSE doesn't want to pay Mathews to use the technology. I get it, but it would make life much easier if they did haha

I really like your videos but if you took 5 mins to watch Dudley explain the changes you could have given a lot better review. Just saying this is different doesn’t really do it justice, most of those changes were so people can fit his preferred accessories to the bow. The elevate rest couldn’t go flat and the sight holes had to be adjusted I think for the sight. That’s also why the riser has the slightly different holes and why the cable guard isn’t adjustable.

  • @InsideOutPrecision

    @InsideOutPrecision

    4 жыл бұрын

I listened to his review but his explanation of why they made the cable guard static didnt make much sense to me. I guess hes assuming everyone who buys the bow will run all the same accessories, but I dont think that will be the case. The nxt has multiple holes for mounting the sight, where this only has one set. I get he had to make it a little different, but I think the changes actually limit the accessories you can put on it as opposed to open up your options. Just my opinion though.

@@InsideOutPrecision This bow is aimed at loyal Nock On Archery Fans only. There is a lot of logic to Johns ideas, but I can see from a bow technicians point of view he has created a lot of challenges for you.I personally wouldn't buy this bow as the NXT is a far better option, if you would want to change to different accessories.

Inside Out Precision I just think it would be helpful for people watching to know why those changes, he’s switching to PSE and it it doesn’t fit the accessories he sells it’s not gonna happen. I bet the next version the engineers will find a way to accommodate both. Was interesting to hear how that makes it tough on bowshops. I’m a big nock on fan, no real plans to get this bow. It’ll be interesting how the partnership turns out.

I'm far from expert but I think your drawing techniqe is wrong. I could be wrong too but isn't it easier when your right elbow is level with your left hand? I have only some cheap shitty compound but it's way easier for me to draw with the right elbow level with left hand to minimize leverage of your arm and maximize the torque. Also forgive my english... Thanks for the video.

When I shoot them I get either a bullet hole or VERY close to a bullet hole. That being said, not everyone that comes through the shop has a good grip, anchor, release, etc. We try to address these issues with the shooter, but sometimes their form influences the tune a lot. An experienced shooter with good form usually wont have a lot of issues though.
