You should replace the V-belt pulley 17:49 Use industrial paint and do not paint the work surface The table should have been smoothed with a lathe and not puttyed.

Not criticism, but you should have preheated the cast iron before welding your repair patch to it. Cast iron is brittle, and welding it without preheating it is a bad practice. Brazing new metal might have been a better practice.

Great skills, awesome restoration. But why too many colors? Green and black only would look good, in my opinion.

The wires should have gone through the holes under the on/off switch, and been secured inside. This is how it is on mine, which is almost identical.

You really need to use the safety guard on your grinder to help keep the dirt and debris out of your eyes. It doesn't matter what we think we gain by not using it. Also, you need to use the side handle as this is designed for safety as well. Here in the States, we have laws for businesses for proper use of tools. Failure to do so cane result in a fine.

It's nice that you refurbished this 16 speed drill press, but there is one thing you NEVER do, and that's paint the bottom base and main table! Leave them bare cast iron! Also, don't paint the spindle levers. They also should remain steel. Just clean them up with sandpaper. Your paint choices on everything else makes it look like a toy! Just paint industrial colours, not all those silly colours you used. Also, keep the main post nice and clean and shiny. Make it look like a real drill press!

Was going good till you put putty on it just to make it look pretty. Not good fer a TOOL.

This is not a restoration, but a refurbishing of the machine. If it were a restoration, it would have used new bearings.
