Did you measure the bore? Did you reinstall the old rings? Did you measure the end gap on the rings?

The title of this video had me in stitches😂😂 He 'restores' an old Husky, strips it down, does nothing to it except splash sealant all over the place including the piston and both ports of the barrel, spray paints the barrel without blocking the ports off (bet that made the piston look new?), didnt set the rings up properly before installing the barrel, wrong sized key in the crank, no bar tensioner, paints it in the colour of goodness knows what saw manufacturer. I used the word 'restored' as a laugh as he restored absolutely zilch! Hes good..... NOT!!! 😂😂😂

You work with what you got. And to be determined enough to do this is great.

When removing the flywheel you should leave the nut on crankshaft so you don't damage the threads hammering the wheel loose. And after all that work you should have put new piston rings main bearings and seals that bottom end sounds a little worn out.

@@alanevery215 NO chainsaw will rust like that. They’re magnesium alloys not steel. The paint on the underside of the bar isn’t going to “rot” off due to the oil from the bar protecting it. The whole page is full of fakes.

They force corrode it by spraying it in sodium chloride or something similar, cover it with mud, then let it dry out in the sun for a week. Where do you think they find all this shit to restore?

Also rocket scientist you don't grease crank bearings on a 2/you lose them up with some assembly lube or2stroke oil It's easy to be a know it all when you don't know anything isn't it

You restore a non Stihl chainsaw and Stihl was impressed? What were they more impressed with? Was it blasting abrasive into the crank bearings then re-installing them without grease? Or was it the bathroom caulk you crammed into the cylinder head bolt holes? Maybe it was the heat treat on the rusty hardware? Oh no… it's gotta be when you didn't install the chain tensioner. For the little girls that pointed out I said “grease” instead of “oil”, I am sorry I misspoke. The point was you do not install crank bearings that were blasted with abrasive without cleaning and lubricating them, he did neither. Regardless, it doesn’t excuse nor justify the horrific “restoration” that was done or the lie that preceded it.

Nah man, that is a Stihl and an old one too. Restoration T2 does genuine work, he's one of the few that do. And he has a gorgeous misses and kids.

I’m all for reusing rather than letting things be wasted, but why on earth would you reuse rusty bolts instead of replacing them? Burning the rust off doesn’t mean the bolt isn’t weakened. Just replace all that hardware, if you really wanna avoid waste, melt the metal down or something, don’t cut corners though.

I'm the owner Husqvarna. I offer twice as much as Stihl. Such engineers do not lie on the roads.

Inżynier nie uderzałby bezpośrednio młotkiem w oś wału tylko przez coś, cos miększego np kawalek drewna, no i jak odrestaurowywanie to takie rzeczy jak tabliczki znamionowe się zakleja przed piaskowaniem, moglbym się jeszcze do paru innych rzeczy przyczepić, a poza tym tytul to fake, od zwykłe wyciągnięcie jakiegoś zapuszczonego grata i coś z niego zrobienie, myslę że prawdziwi restauratorzy zrobiliby to z wiekszym kunsztem.

Impacting….. rusted Allen heads and Philips…. Cringes the biggest “omg” was the impacting the the bolts on from the tip of the impact, no starting the threads first and its pneumatic!!! Painting over black plastic. Wire wheeling the piston with that insanely aggressive wheel. Sandblasting the block thinking paper towels would stop the abrasive…. Good entertainment but a lot of confused looks on this one

Si muy bueno el vídeo, pero disculpe soy meticuloso en esto le faltó más limpieza a todo, y más después se tiene que pintar y los bulones y demás no quedaron limpios lo disimula el empavonado si, pero no es de mi gusto ,entiendo que el tiempo en desarrollar el.mismo es poco pero se puede obviar con m ostrar el estado en que que estaba y como quedó una ves limpio, pero como dije lo guardo igualmente no es ese modelo la mía es nueva, en resumen si sirve, pero al pistón no lo dejaría con tanta suciedad y el cambio de aros se lo hago igual y los rodamientos todo lo escencial fue nuevo mostrado si, pero dejo mucho que desear laimpieza, un sbrazo
