Compilation of John Deacon's best bass parts, the sequel
Ойындар
Updated version of the one I made in August, because since then I've discovered a lot more amazing work from John and not just from the famous, well-known songs that I listed in the last one.
For this version I've picked some of Queen's lesser known songs and some more live recordings, including bootlegs
There are still some more bass parts that I want to add but then the video would be too long, so I'll make a honorable mention list down here:
1. We Will Rock You (Fast Version) - Never released as a studio album, but used as the concert opener for the band from 1977 - 1982
2. Breakthru and The Invisible Man (from The Miracle 1989), Cool Cat (Hot Space 1982) and My Melancholy Blues (News Of The World 1977) have a good bassline throughout the song
3. Dragon Attack (Live at the Bowl '82) is, as far as I know, the only time John got to play his bass solo due to Brian breaking a string
4. In 1988, Brian and John with Joe Cocker performed The Letter live at the Prince Trust Concert. Even though John didn't technically make the bassline, his playing still deserves a spot on this list
Videos used (besides videos from the official Queen KZread channel):
1. Back Chat (Live at The Bowl '82): • Queen Back Chat live a...

Wait, John slapped bass? Wow!
John and Brian riffing together in One Vision makes my heart go 🥰🥰🥰
I wish John did more slap bass! He was phenomenal at it! His bass style is very eclectic.
I have a total respect to him. For his tecknics and his decision to retire from success. He was a great musician.
That bass from Back Chat is fucken insane bro
Happy 70th Birthday to you Queen Legend John Richard Deacon, Hearty wishes from Hyderabad, India 19/08/21
Great compilation. Sail Away Sweet Sister is from the album "The Game" released in 1980.

You are right! Indeed, "Sail away sweet sister" belongs to "The Game" album but where are "All dead, all dead / News of the world" and "Teo Torriate (Let us cling together) + Long away / A day at the races"?

John Deacon is missed :)
All from the Queen are truly impressive, they are all gems.
Misfire should be included from Sheer Heart Attack 1974, the fade out is awesome! 👍🏻
That slap from Back Chat was just 😘👌
Ogre battle hammersmith 1975 is the best bass line he did!
I love Deaky 🥰😘
Sail Away Sweet Sister is from the album The Game (1980).
Mio dolcissimo John, sempre in punta di piedi ma mai,mai in secondo piano.Insostituibile.I love you 🥰
Deacon bravo bassista❤
Deacon ottimo bassista
John Deacon is very underrated. He's up there with Geddy Lee, Chris Squire and other masters of the bass. A lot of later Queen fans (Post-Live Aid) don't really know their earlier stuff, but if you have not already, you should check out the bass lines from _Queen II,_ especially Side Black. {:-:-:}
I personally love the Bassline in "The invisible man", in the album "The Miracle"
There is a bass line in studio who wants to live forever. John is on stage in a red coat playing a double bass. Look again.
La linea de bajo es potente y estupenda!!!.. Gracias por tu recopilacion.
Me emociona hasta las lagrimas, los amo ❤❤❤
great selection!

If you're talking about the bass solo, then hell yeah. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure most of the song is on synth bass, aside from a few bits.
Where is "The Invisible Man" ?
