Thanks to God who made His servant (Dr. Joseph) able to explain this beautiful sura in a clear manner, and thanks to Him; the ALL-Mighty Lord who made His servant (Me) to be bestowed upon to hear this nice interpretation of this nice sura in this nice month Ramadan. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. The desire of ease for the one fasting could relate to the health and spiritual benefits that could accrue if done correctly. If one applies the hadith of PBUH, which relates to the proper intake of food (the stomach should have 1/3 food, 1/3 water and the final 1/3 left empty) at iftar and suhoor in Ramadan, the medical benefits of intermittent fasting and reduced food intake will be apparent, inshallah. Weight loss has the potential to address many medical ailments such as metabolic syndrome thereby leading to ease & amelioration of the person's condition. Allah the most merciful knows best.
