Comfortably Numb Solo | Pink Floyd Cover by Lex Fridman
Музыка
My first time putting music out into the world in this way. Writing and playing music has been a creative refuge for me throughout my life, providing balance and breadth to the focused rigors of research. It's my birthday, so I decided to take the leap and play one of my favorite solos: from Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd. I did my best to stay true to the David Gilmour original, and once finished, added an improvised part starting at the 1:50 mark.

@@simonclarent3742 I don't think it will be impossible for him. I can play the guitar very well, I have been playing since I was 9 years old. I have basic knowledge of the piano. I have a masters degree that focuses on business strategy through data analytics, statistics and business rescue (in USA known as insolvency, bankruptcy, chapter 11 etc), I have time to play games like Lex does and most people for that matter, I work for a university, I have taken fighting classes since 16 years old...basically I have done similar to what Lex has done and I'm 24 years old. In other words I'm nothing special and I have done this so I think anyone can do what they want to do. Nothing stops them. If they want to be as skilled as Lex and have nothing stop you then just do it.
Pink Floyd can bring emotion even out of Lex

It's crazy that this guitar solo is so emotional and people that call this the greatest solo ever seem to understand it. It's like it lulls you into comfort with the lows and then when the guitar goes high almost sounds like a cry for help and then back into the lows as if its all gonna be okay. It's such a brilliant piece of music that gets a lot of respect but also I think some people over look it. Seeing someone like Lex play this and you can tell when he plays that high part it hits him like so many others.

WOW!!! From one guitar player to another GOOd SHOW!!! Totally unexpected, thank you for sharing that side. LOVE the POD Cast.
Absolutely beautiful. The very last part is so emotional, it feels like a riff of hope played out to those that are suffering and have suffered. It says, "I feel your pain", but the context of Lex playing this transforms this piece into one of hope. Lex Fridman understands the terrible suffering of the human condition, and so he works tirelessly every day to try to help build a better world. Therefore, his existence in this form proves there is still hope for humanity after all. He proves that there are truly good people out there who selflessly want to help. Thank you Lex Fridman. The child has grown, the dream is gone.. Tears my soul apart..

Love it and 3:02 was smooth. Especially how you end it. You did your own version yet it sounded like something Gilmour would do. Just lots of bend and simple melodic playing and very interesting choice of tone. It sounds raspier than Floyd but it worked. Which is all this song is about. Gotta feel it and let the music play itself. You gotta post the full version Lex. It's been years now.

Sourov Roy Thanks Bro! I will! Cheers! 😀
Just wow 🤩 what a rock star ❤😁🌟
Get out!! Lex can play like this?? I heard it mentioned he plays guitar and I figure he's a strummer+ Lol! He's playing it as relaxed as Gilmour. Wow...I'm seriously impressed. He played it with so much emotion. Bravo, Lex. 👍🏼
You’re so interestingly unique lex, I’ll always admire you.
Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us, extremely enjoyable! Great podcast, great heart!!
The improvised part at the end is incredibly good
Discovered you on JRE--Joe doesn't understand the romantic and passionate Russian soul. I get my peeps, they run hot and cold. hahah Great solo. :)
