Lenders gave a duty to its share holders to get qualified Valuers in civilised Societies.Often in Damily Courtd each side has its own Valuers and the Judge has to determine on the balance of probabilities. What you are saying is every day US car dealers commit multiple Crimes by saying the asking price is the value of that car. It is irrational to say Trump lied. He simply had a favourable idea of the Value of his Real Estate. That is not a Crime. The Supreme Court will almost certainly overturn the judgement even in the Untied States of Achronims.

He purposefully mislead financial institutions to gain loans at rates more favorable to him, that is the very definition of First-Party Mortgage Loan Fraud, look it up. He didn't just slightly increase what he knew his properties were worth, he often knowingly multiplied it. It's a crime and a life-long property developer should have 100% known this fact.

Our middle class began going down in 1980 when Reagan came into office and made two huge changes. For the first time, it was legal to take corporate PAC bribes. And while Jimmy Carter wanted to put limits of a couple of thousand like for individuals. No, they wanted unlimited. That changed the thinking of Congress. No longer taking care of the voters, they began only caring about their donors. And he gave us qualified immunity. That totally changed the thinking of Police. No longer could they be sued for killing someone like had been law since the 1870s. The reason Reagan was even elected to screw up America, was because 75% of the voters that day stayed the f at home. Check for yourself, it's _never_ been brought up, but even in the POTUS, Carter at the time only got 25% turnout in his own State. When nobody votes, the country goes to 💩

I am happily retiring to a “socialist” country (Spain) where I know I will not have to worry about my healthcare (cost and quality), my safety, healthy lifestyle, etc etc.😊

My cousin is a Dr in Spain. He has the government health insurance, he doesn't need a private one. Besides that, you'll never hear anything crazy from countries like Sweden, Norway, Switzerland or Finland (the happiest population on Earth) because everything runs smoothly, nobody goes bankrupt because of college or health problems. Spain, like the rest of Europe, has a royal family without any power, they're just a decoration, they make no decisions, all the decisions are made by a democratic president. About Franco, like any extreme right dictator, invented "communists" to destroy as an excuse to attack the population and call himself the Savior, like Putin invading Ukraine to save them from their "nazi" regime. It appears that social democracies, such as we have in Europe, do look after their citizens better than the Government does in America. Obviously Europe has problems as well, but we have universal health care, Employee rights and protections, sane gun laws, better food protection laws. We don't have the American lobbying system which is, effectively, legalised bribery which enables special interests groups to effectively dictate policy. And we don't have a Judiciary that's appointed by politicians. Politically appointed judges, are typically what one finds in totalitarian countries.

@@user-yv1bs1uy4u In theory, the term 'socialist country' would apply to a country in, where everyone owns everything equally and all services are provided for by the state. Pretty much where everybody is on the same level financially. In practise though, a socialist country is regarded as a country that has a totalitarian regime. A social democracy, as we have here in Europe, is comprised of capitalist countries, that provide, for their citizens to have a say in the way the country is run, whilst aiding it's citizens by providing universal health care, social welfare etc. The government rules by consent. There are oddities, in that Cuba, for example, is a totalitarian regime, but it provides first class, free healthcare. The Kibbutzim in Israel, although a much smaller movement now, is a fairly good example of socialism, within the framework of a country that is a social democracy. I'm not a socialist by any means, and I live in a social democracy. Even here in Monaco, there is universal health care, which, similar to the rest of Europe, doesn't differentiate in providing universal health care for its citizens regardless of the level of income. As mentioned before, Europe with it's social democracies, does, in general, take better care of it's citizens, than does America.

You are right about America though, there are of course problems in Europe, but it certainly does take care of its citizens in terms of universal health care, employment security and rights, gun laws, food safety laws etc, better than the American government. A government that is in the pocket of special interest groups, due to it's lobbying, judicial and electoral system. As stated before, no one in Europe has to worry about being able to afford medical bills, it's simply not an issue.

The saddest part of the climate debate, is that most people believe that switching to clean alternatives would be costly and job killing. In fact, the exact opposite is true. High oil tax plus instant rebates for all citizens would create the greatest economic boom in world history without hurting consumers in the least. Even if climate wasn't a problem, it would be foolish to not do it as quickly as possible.

The worst thing we have now is a fat and often aloof government only obedient to big money and power. The ratio of honest politicians to dishonest is about 1:50. Financially as well as environmentally we are headed for a brick wall. I mentioned government because in capitalism there are rewards for performance but there are none for government politicians as long as they use games and mind control to stay in office. In a way they do have metrics but they are in service to either the big donors only or big money leaders like McConnell. If government had metrics and performance that was evaluated by the people then market type forces would ensure that their performance was measured and incentivized. This is about what the founding fathers envisioned but they were not perfect either not clairvoyant.

You are absolutely right on. Study the government and policies of the Scandinavian countries. Sweden, Denmark, Norway. The people have free health care, free education, free child care and at least four weeks vacation. The taxes may be higher but on the whole it’s a better system. No worries.

@debrap6145 Here in New Zealand, the taxes are about the same as the USA (but the rich pay more not less) and if you hurt yourself in an accident, fixing it is free. I had a back operation after skiing, 5 days in the hospital and the whole thing cost ZERO, even the meds were free. And I haven't seen a real gun in person for over 10 years. Even the cops don't carry them.

My daughter and I were watching this video together and she looked at me and said, This looks like a man, that you would enjoy having a conversation with. She's not wrong.
