Ed's voice is one of life's most soothing things. 3 years ago his amazing voice in "The World I Know" saved me from committing suicide when I was 19. 3 years later? Now I'm friends with the band and their families and had the opportunity to tell Ed in person how his voice and his love carried me through those darkest times. He told me to, "Never fucking think those thoughts again", gave me 5 hugs, and wrote down "You are love" for me to remember. I got those words in his handwriting tattooed on my calf, and showed him- and he was embarrassed :) He's such a southern gentleman. Collective Soul is full of so much love and that separates them from all other bands who struggle to keep it real. Listen to the lyrics in this song... it comes from a wise, humble man who really believes in love. That's what makes Collective Soul's songs so beautiful, and ultimately why their music saves so many lives like my own.

I find your story very similar to mine. I relate to you as the band saved me. Songs like heavy really helped when I was sitting a contemplating if I should just end it. I felt like I was a monster and no one would ever like me or want to be my friend. I know it sounds cringe but it’s true, I don’t have any friends and I have never been in a relationship or done anything with a girl. I feel like a disappointment a lot of the time but when I put on songs like “Not the One” “What I can Give you” Heavy” “Good Morning After All” really help my mood and remind me that I am worth something and that I can do something with my life. I hope one day to meet the band and tell them how much they’ve helped me and thank them sincerely for helping that night when I wanted to end it. I wouldn’t be here today typing this without CS and I’m forever thankful ! I hope you are doing well too !! I have seen some of your work and Music covers and I think your really talented !

@@MichaelMyers-pj2uk I’ve been there many times for many years, I lost my 7yr old son in a horrific car accident in 2007, that absolutely destroyed me emotionally physically and even religiously… I was in a very dark place for over 10yrs, I got back into playing songs like this and it saved my life, it gave me a purpose to want to live and strive to be a better person every day!!! 🙏✌🏻
I was just recently introduced to their music (February 2022). I feel in love with the band. Then I was diagnosed with a devastating disease. I decided to make sure no matter what state or country that I would be at a concert this year! I found out that they would be like 3 hours away from me so I grabbed the person who introduced me to the music and we celebrated our 50th birthday with Collective Soul! I also made sure that I was close to the stage to experience them! I have great pictures, memories and happiness of being able to see them. I can’t wait until the next concert starts, so I listen to them all day while doing my physical therapy and housework. I have them blaring in my car just to have my own little concert. I’ve blown a speaker in the car! But my concert was great (car) and my dancing was spot on, I just feel bad for the other cars cause they weren’t experiencing my joy of the car concert… Love to all ❤
These guys are STILL INCREDIBLE! 1994 OR 2022, they ROCK🤘
New album is absolutely incredible!
I've seen this band perform live 3 times....one of my favorite bands of all time.
As much as I love the older Collective Soul songs, this might be my favorite album thus far. It's a good and solid album.
Seeing them live is the best way to enjoy their music ,never turn down a chance to do it

I saw the band at a private concert for Novell employees in Salt Lake City years ago and they were great! This band has grown on this almost 60 year old school rocker!
Great Album! Can’t wait till the next!
My young age grew up with Collective Soul song. I used to listen to it during my University life. And I love this band and i don't care the size of them as a band. The lyrics, sounds and song theme pretty much impact my life. They are awesome.... Keep on Ed... Love you all guys...
I think that's the strongest song you guys put out in the last several years. I hope the music video is tight. make it stormy!
Collective Soul por Siempre en mis oídos y en mi Walkman!! 💜🤟🇨🇱
They have a great sound
Ed’s voice still sounds like the 90s collective soul.

Probably so. Ed has said a number of times that if he had his way, Collective Soul would be the second coming of ELO.
I would also appreciate higher quality, I can hear KZread compression at 360p
Please upload this video ini HD 1080p, don't in 360p
Wish they played that song live! I could do without Gel and December here and there... Love this album, just like Blood and SWYSBC.
I hear a different version from the album, the voice isn´t the same before solo. Only 360p??? This is the best song from the album beside Take, Undone and Just Looking around.
The next Collective Soul album has to be all hard rocking music, less slow folk songs, just focus on rocking out again :)
CS should realize that the new rock songs they released has more views than the slower ones.,They should release an album with more hard rockin guitar riffs,.. but who am I to give my opinion.. I just love heavier CS songs😊

Collective Soul really need to rock out more. I mean songs like Cut The Cord and Reason are alright, but this band has great potential. They need to rock harder. Collective Soul need to sound like AC/DC, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, not sound like the Wallflowers, Counting Crows, Switch Foot, you know what I mean? Rock n roll music is based on loud heavy guitars, solid loud bass and drums, a good rhythm section and hard screaming garbage punk rock vocals and lyrics, so basically Collective Soul should sound like Bad Religion, Foo Fighters, Puddle Of Mudd, and Social Distortion. 🤠😎🤪

Get back to the days of where the river flows, gel, shine, why pt2, and a few rock ballads and we will be good. Still love the bad though. Rule no 1 is a decent song though.

@@sonicjet7759 You obviously don’t know CS. They aren’t like other bands and they have made that clear throughout. Their new album still has heavy tracks especially the first couple tracks on this album and Blood. Crushed, Over Me, Cut the Cord, all are heavy songs and have that distinct CS sound but this is the style Collective Soul is going. There older now especially Ed who is almost 60.

@@MichaelMyers-pj2uk I'm with you on this: Ed never has liked being thought of in the same vein as acts like Green Day, Pearl Jam, and STP; he definitely feels that CS is its own thing. Also, artists evolve: I imagine that people criticizing recent efforts by the band would have criticized Sgt. Pepper or The White Album had they been alive in the late '60s because those albums were drastically different from Meet the Beatles and A Hard Day's Night (for example). Another point is to consider who are Ed's idols: The Beatles, Elton John, ELO, The Cars, Tom Petty, INXS, and to some extent The Cure and The Clash. How many of these acts sound like AC/DC, Green Day, or Bad Religion? On top of that, Ed often has said that if the other band members didn't rein him in, he would make CS the next coming of ELO! So when we consider that, he is much more likely to make more tracks like "The World I Know" than "Where the River Flows" going forward.
Decent record but I hope the next one has more kick to it. More distorted guitars.
