Collective Soul is a band about pure positivity, love, connecting and peace. And of course, fun! It's about time people discover their greatness on the internet... since the radio only plays "Shine" over and over. I'm 20 years old and I found this prolific band on KZread last year. I am bipolar and they saved me from committing suicide last year. And now, I have meet and greet passes so I can thank the band soon for what they did for me and what they accomplish in their songs. Collective Soul. They are a band you'll never forget once you discover their musical abilities and power. Oh, it helps that they're southern gentlemen, too :)

Been loving them since their original days... you could do far, far worse than Collective Soul. It's strange that in their day the critics hated them for the very reasons you love them. Their positive, original, uplifting message shows through most of their songs. Amazing to see they provided a ray of light in your dark times and helped you choose life. Please remember that no matter how hard things get, it is only momentary and will always get better.

Collective soul shine in the radio stations in the mid of 90's with singles as "december", "shine", "Heavy" so Not are a underrated band dude. this not are underground music. I never seem to hear a song from this amazing group that doesn't impress. They had a range of amazing songs. Their standards were always very high indeed. Love this song. Others too.

I dont think they get the pub of the grunge type bands which makes them underrated in many eyes. They are phenomenal despite being more rock like than grunge/alternative.

However one billion years can pass & the music from the 1950's through to the 1990's will never be beat, unless history repeats itself!!!!!!! Notice how even all of the music stars today learn from past music (meaning during the 50's through the 90's - that's when music got their names - rock, pop, glam rock, disco, grunge, country, etc.) or try to record the nestalgic songs & try to put a new spin on the oldies! I do respect your comment though! Any time you want to play "music wars" - just give me a song of today & I'll listen to it - then I'll counter with a nastalgic song that will "out cool" anything you throw at me!!!!! This is going to be "fun"!!!!!!!

These guys rocked, awesome songs! Never received the recognition they deserved, I saw them as an opening act, they should have been the main attraction!

He’s a nice guy as well. Watched them play at a bar in South Carolina back in ‘95. He threw out his guitar pick and I caught it without even leaving my table. I carried it around for years in my purse but I eventually lost it. Awesome memories of the ‘90’s.

Probably the most intelligent lyrics for any band ever. All songs. Definitely some of the catchiest guitar licks ever...the new music leaves nothing to be desired. Ed and Dean...the sons of a Godly family. I love the way you guys incorporate your faith in your tunes...although I'm not sure it makes me whole...lol. Keep it up guys. Love yall!!!

I saw them at the Molson Amphitheatre several years ago in Toronto. Fairly small venue and they put on a great concert. Actually they played so well, it was like listening to their studio recording...just awesome. : )
