I have 3 442 and all 3 have only full flame and off. Is this normal?

I also have the same problem. It only works on high and I don't know how to solve this problem I no longer use this stove because of this problem

I'm having trouble with my 508a too, but how did you get the lower part of the fuel valve assembly out, with me the fuel pickup line didn't come out with the valve assembly? I could get off the brass top part fairly easy but that needle and plastic piece is still in there and I don't see really how to get it out?

It’s a graphite ring that is in there. Loosen the nut completely & pull straight up. It’s usually stuck in there pretty well but it will come out.

Should be a single 008 o-ring and they seal the valve stem. Viton are preferable. Don't use the nitrile ones. They don't last . The Schrader valve in the fuel pickup tube are usually the part that causes fuel to leak into the generator. They can be found at most auto parts suppliers but they MUST be rated for hydrocarbons. The ones for tires will break down quickly once exposed to fuel.

So its still not working properly after all that , plus it looks like still burning in the off position .

Watch up to 23:03, I explain about the O rings, if turning off and it still burning, you need to change to O rings, good luck!
