i think Dr. Katz struck those cords earliest but not nearly as good.. i was gonna say Duckman but i think that is different ground that Southpark took up after Duckman flew under the radar until teletoon brought it forward here in Canada. not sure if any US stations kept Duckman going as long and also oddly enough Home Movies was aired on YTV back when they were cool enough to have young adult stuff on later at night boy i miss the old YTV for showing me great shows like this

I never realized how Home Movies actually effected me as a kid. Last night as we were all lined up, waiting to leave work for the night, someone asked me if I was excited to go home and I was like, "Yeah, I can't wait to go home and cry alone, in the shower in the dark."

Ive never watched this series but from the clips that I watched through recommended, I can confidently say that I love these characters so much

This really stood the test of time

The writing for this show was incredible

Does it look good at least? *Me* : No. But it's oddly satisfying. I can't stop watching it. *Friend of mine* : What's it called. *Me* : Home movies. For some reason they saw it and told me it was awful; but then I hear them talking about it a week later as if they saw it (pretending I wasn't even someone they knew), jokes on him though; season 2 came out and he didn't see it before me. So I threw out some fake spoilers and he never messed with me again :3
