The end makes me realize, that Jason and McGuirk don't spend too much time together. I guess it's because it's hard to improv with yourself

it’s also cause they don’t click Jason doesn’t do soccer like Brendon and Melissa so he never interacts with Mcguirk McGuirk is also a confident and pseudo father figure to Brendon so they have that more in depth connection

@@VoidRAZ it’s not his but i went through something like this, i was like in 5th grade and this one girl who wouldn’t leave me alone kept asking if i could come over but i always would find myself making excuses and somehow they would always work out, but this one time i was caught off guard and she called me mother (bc her mom was the principal crazy ik) and my mom ofc said yes bc she’s the fucking principal. so all weekend we ate like healthy unseasoned nightmare fuel, went to bed at like 6:30 and then we played the super ridiculous religious games all day. no tv, no soda, no snacks. just nothing but THAT all weekend. after that i told my mom and she promised me she wouldn’t let it happen again and the girl kept offering to have me spend the night but i would always say i was busy until she kinda just laid off and starting attacking someone else in the classroom. i’ll never forget that treacherous weekend it’s forever engrained in my memories.

This episode is really well directed. Really creative how they transition scenes between Melissa and Brendon. And also, the last part kicks ass

this is one of my favorite episodes. "No, leave me alone you little goblin" lmao the escape scene is one of the best scenes in the series imo.

Melissa is such a badass.

I love the way the running away scene is executed: Cross-cutting between Brendon and Melissas misfortune, splitting the screen in half, the Spanish guitar, the lights from McGuirks car The perfect setup. Its almost sexy.

I'm 62 but love animation, great show

The conversation in the credits is priceless. Both voices are just funny as hell.

This had one of the greatest endings of a episode in this seires.

I must agree with you on this being the best episode. I was never much into Home Movies until I caught this episode and became an instant fan. Melissa is one of my favorite characters and she does have a kick ass/ super-hero side to her, especially after seeing this episode and the one where the kids go away to "Hell Camp" and she saves Coach McGurk from drowning even though she's afraid to swim at first. Melissa ROCKS!!!

1.) i would definitely be jason, just because i identify with his eccentricity and i think my sense of humor relates strongly to his character in the sense that it sometimes has a tendency to create awkward moments or make people feel a bit uncomfortable/grossed out..

Ahh me too! It was the exact same: he asks me over and I say "mehhhh I'll think about it? (NONONO)" then after school he gets his mom to call my mom. so began two days of torture, agony, and supreme awkwardness.

Wow one of the best episodes I've ever seen.
