@@xDuality007x I think it was mainly the first season that was like that. I remember reading that even though the actors certainly still got to fool around with their dialogue after that, the scripting got a bit tighter.

that must be why I can listen to Home Movies without actually watching it. The animation is awesome, but not essential to experiencing the show. It's brilliant.

@@enbybunny9940 diane was probably my favorite character arc to watch. she was a perfect parallel to bojack. they both had traumatic childhoods with beaten in ways of thinking, later turning to story telling as a coping mechanism and ego boost. their symptoms and internal monologue are depicted as very similar, as well. but where bojack thrashes and waits for someone or something to fix things for him, diane tries to understand and grow even with as imperfect as she is doing it.

This was at the dawn of Adult Swim in the late 90’s early’00’s. I was like 5 years old knowing DAMN WELL I shouldn’t be watching this. This was back in the days when you had to have the volume turned down just enough so you could hear it properly and had the remote control in your hand with your thumb on that button that said “last” and be listening for your parents when they walked in the room and flipped the channel back to Nick@Nite or some shit! Who else remembers those days?!😂

@@terrencehollins8072 SAME, dude! I was around 9-10 at the time. The stealth game with the TV was very real, couldn't just pop on the headphones or ear buds with the laptop and close or minimize the tabs. Kids today don't know how good they've got it, lol.

@Crayolapup Oh no, it wasn't, but it found it's right audience on Adult Swim, and a sizeable one at that, which is why it made it past 5 episodes(for easy reference, the Paula Poundstone episodes are the UPN ones), which is why I say that it wasn't underrated, at the time, but it was definitely forgotten a lot more than it deserved. I feel like Coach McGuirk should be one of H. Jon Benjamin's more notable roles, it was one of his first big ones.

ngl yeah, it fit her character very well and with a lot of the episodes being improv she really put her personality into it and made her a funny character, plus her gravely Massachusettsan accent really fits with paula’s design and its a very likeable voice.

I have a lot of memories with Paula small going back to the early days of my childhood. First childhood crush, first love really . If you think about it I would say Paula is one of the best characters in media. Paula is a lovely young woman from her purple hair to her interactions with other character (coach mgurc, phineas) top class stuff really One of my favourite Paula small moment swas when she was recording with the camera!!! That was when my first crush arrived and wow that was awesome for little young me 😻 Going thinking back to back when I was in school I was picked on for liking Paula but I don’t care!!! She’s worth every dime and I really adore her the woman and what she became! Go Paula thank you for uploading and bringing back memories old friend!
