value is what people are willing to pay, and a lot of people would pay a large sum of money for old mint comics.

I'm not into the whole preserving of comics thing, but... my god the value of it.....

Devil in the toy box craze stretches back decades. I think at the time we were at war as well and there was a national efforts in recycling. Couple that with how rough most kids are with their things. It's scarcity, not quality.

He should have sold it on ebay first and then paid Dr. Venture. Paying someone with a comic book is just stupid.

I like how Hank is a huge fan of DC but couldn’t care less about Marvel. He also didn’t know Bruce Banner is a doctor.

Because that’s who he is. He honestly thinks owning that is worth more than the equal cash value. & yes one could make more by holding onto it... just sucks that rusty is inept as.... well as everything LOL & he needed the cash ASAP. I think it’s great fun writing. People don’t get that. That’s life. People mess up and dumb little things get in the way.

He's also terribly self-absorbed and rather dismissive of geek culture except where it directly concerns himself and his legacy. My assumption is that thinks that anything that doesn't have his or his dad's face on it is probably worthless.

We could have gotten him back. He deserved to come back. I'd have loved seeing 21 raising his best friend's clone as his own son. There was definite potential there.

This episode absolutely slayed me - that buildup, the achronological storytelling, the payoff and reveal that's still managed to be followed by an incredible gag. I don't think I've ever been more awestruck by a joke in my life! I'm going to miss this show.

I don’t know what’s worse, Rusty being oblivious to what he received or that 23 willingly gave it away for nothing.

Whats worse is that actually happens. Full episode uses the dropping value as a clock, at the end we see the comic become absolutely worthless, because it is ,in fact, used as toilet paper.

Well. To be fair; he DID accept it at payment so the comic was now the property of Dr Venture to do as he saw fit. It’s just sad to see him hand it over to Hank as he destroys it’s value one careless dip of the page at a time. 😒😞

Even though he did it. It eventually be worst for Gary because he doesn't live the most normal life or the most safely life either everyday he is facing with superheroes or super villains and always he is in danger so i guess the baby would eventually die for mistake or someone to murder And than could make Gary to feel worst even he live safety nothing could change as decent person gary is keep down when he is going to rasing 24 as a baby will always try to bring back 24 and Gary in this situation would eventually to lead him to emotionally breakdown

I don't get why 21 couldn't have sold the mint comic himself and then gave the money to Dr venture

It wasn't even so much as the comic's value decreasing, it was the fact that Doc was too stupid to realize it's worth and he would've gotten a hefty amount of money for it if he had known. And on another note that Gary wasted it on someone who doesn't know shit of the comic's worth instead of selling it somewhere else, and give Doc the cash. But even if the latter happened, Doc wouldn't be generous enough to clone Gary's friend and would be gypped.

For anyone wondering why the old comics are worth so much is because they were made during WW2 when the US entered the war and they began rationing everything for the war effort so they could only make so many. Many of the comics ended up being destroyed over time making existing copies worth small fortunes.

Watching the counter value go all the way down to zero was the cherry on top of this episode.

Meanwhile Orpheus is probably just sitting around in his Dracula pajamas, waiting for someone to need his necromancy powers.

See this is another of the vast list of problems with doc. He has no awareness of the modern world and social trends. He has no concept of collector culture, his idea of high technology Is massively outdated (he thought billy invented the Segway, not that it existed for decades), he never updated the information in the learning beds (nor checked to see if they could be applied to any job applications or college applications) He’s a lazy man who assumes the world is the same for his entire life and and gets indignant at the thought of having to adapt or learn something new. He just want to live in the bubble of the era his father lived in because then there’d be a limited amount of things for him to learn. His actual abilities and intelligence are highly questionable, he doesn’t even have a valid doctorate, he just insists everyone call him doctor and professes he’s a super scientist. He just wants to believe the world is smaller so he can feel bigger, but he’d be a warship even in the team venture days. If he just acknowledged his short comings and and had some self awareness, he’d be a lot better off. Instead he’s stuck as a narcissistic addict who’ll never change and will sponge off everything and anyone he can
