I want that...I want God to look at me and say "She has a heart to do My will" This is making me teary. Thank you Kim for reminding me that God is looking at my will and not my ability. He makes me able if I say yes. I love this series...

This was my thought exactly! I want God to look at me the same way! I love how you said "God is looking at my will and not my ability." Amen.

"He makes me able if I say yes".....ooooh, I love that! Amen, sis! So good. I love studying with my sisters. Such richness. xo
May it be so, in Jesus' Name. Yes!! I love how you reminded us that David was human and fallible, yet he is who God chose and held as an example of someone "after My own heart." I'm echoing that prayer - that God will look at fallible me and say, "Even so, she's after my own heart." Makes me love Him even more!

"...that God will look at fallible me and say, 'Even so...'" YES! I love how you put that, sis. My heart echoes, AMEN! It *does* make us love Him even more! What a gracious God we serve.
I'm glad you shared the scripture from the book of Acts. That's something we all need to hear and remember. Especially when we are asked to do something that is difficult for us to do but is also the will of God.

Amen.....so much that God asks of us is difficult in our own strength. But knowing it's God's will puts it in an entirely different light. So glad to be studying with you, sis.
God bless you Sister Kim. i am currently following this series and its power packed. i particularly love how you pointed out David's fallible nature and yet God loved him. you make me see God wants to see my will to serve him not my ability. because i have a burning desire to serve God but most times I fall short and I sometimes get tired of asking for his forgiveness and grace. so, i am happy about today's message because it is timely.
Your excitement is contagious! 😉 I love that God wasn't allowing Samuel to have a pity party, He was like let's keep it moving. Also telling that Saul's servants had to tell him that he was being terrorized by God. I have to wonder, did he realize when the Spirit left him being that he hadn't been walking in obedience? Life can dull us to those gentle nudgings but I guess that is why we are given David as an example in terms of seeking God's ❤️.

"...let's keep it moving".....I love that, too. Reminds me of when Joshua was mourning Moses's death, and God conveyed the same thing. "Let's go....we've got work to do...." Great point about Saul's servants having to tell him that he was being terrorized by God. I wonder too whether Saul's discernment had been dulled or what? Yes, the contrast between David and Saul is AMAZING.
God bless the reading of his word. And the talent he has bestowed onto his people to interpret the scripture.
I was struggling to get through this book so I’m grateful for how you go through it with such enthusiasm. Thank you!

The Bible says Job was perfect and he told Abraham to walk before him and be thought perfect.
May we all cling to God and surrender and believe with our soul, so we could be children after His Will 👐⚘
Anointed kings can be replaced. God chooses a mens heart over his physical traits. Gods can and will use humble people to do his will. Who would have tought a shepard the next king of Israel .
Amen
Awesome study thank you

Hello. I am really enjoying this series? Why do you prefer the NASB version? Just curious

Hi Kenyatta, so thankful you're enjoying the series! NASB is the Bible I've used for inductive study for 17 years. It's known as a "word for word" translation, in terms of translating from the original Greek text (as opposed to "thought for thought" as with NLT for example), so you get a more literal translation. I like the ESV also, which is newer. But I've been using the NASB so long that I'm married to it. :)
