You are making 1970's-style whitewalls looking like they could be the next style trend for classic jags! Very well done.

Hi Adam, Just for future reference the yellow dot on the tyre indicates the lightest part and should be aligned with the valve and the red dot indicates the heaviest part so should end up opposite the valve. The valve itself adds Inbalance therefore with the tyre correctly fitted you should require less balance weights.

Assuming they're available where you are, a good old-fashioned SOS pad does a really great job cleaning whitewalls...

I've used Comet cleanser and a scrub brush. Works great! Don't have time to use a toothbrush.

Love the hubcaps. Backing Soda for the Win! Toothpaste works well and the dollar store tube of Colgate works best for me. Colgate on a scrub brush is great on a shower floor too.

Tires are looking great and I always enjoy the videos. That said, give me 3 - 5 minutes with a SOS pad or, if your concerned about being too abrasive, some fine steel wool and some powdered cleanser and I can do your whole car and drink two beers.

Looking good Adam! In the '70s and '80s, we used Comet, Ajax, BonAmi, Borax and SOS pads on dad's cars. The Saturday morning routine.

In Sweden, Svinto is the stuff to use (a wire wool with soap inside) cleans whitewalls perfectly! No need to mix things etc. Just buy it in local supermarket...

I always used household soap impregnated steel wool and dirt comes off in no time. That has an abrasive nature to it. The toothbrush therapy is not bad because it is very gentle on the material. If you got time on your hands applying cleaner fluids and let it work to loosen up dirt before the rubbing work.. Probably some wax can help delay dirt from returning the dull finish. Enjoy the shine. The less you use the car as daily driver the longer the shine persists. One of the secrets how to keep enjoying a shiny Jag. Use it only a little bit at a time.

I remember when it was standard feature to see white stripe on tires. Nowadays, they must be on special order if someone wants them! I imagine that it would be much easier to do with a spinning brush on a drill, but it does look good on this car!

Hi. While we're talking about tyres I wonder if anyone out there can help me. I have a series III Daimler Double Six with 15" Kent alloys. I'm having trouble sourcing new tyres at a sensible price for it, it currently has Pirelli 215/50s on it which are ancient, possibly original. I've had lots of different options from so called experts which seem to vary so much I'm confused thanks

Pumice bar soap (Lava soap). Get the white walls wet, wet the bar of soap and scrub a little with the bar soap. Super easy. YOU'RE WELCOME! 😉

Look good adam but it literally takes seconds if you use magic erasers.i presume you can get them in your country.autoglym make them but i just use cheap JLM ones.it is brake dust.my silver spirit ones get black on the front but magic erasers and warm water do them.try to go around the band in one sweep, rinse the eraser and do it again, keeping off the black and thats it,job done.enjoyed your upload,as usual tho.
