You bet, Sylverster. So many great tunes out there!
This is an awesome tune. You play it great. Thanks for the lesson. This is my number one song at the moment to master.

Yeah, this one's definitely a keeper, and well worth the effort to learn.
Great playing of a fine old tune.
Another name for this melody is "Sherman's March to the Sea." I tend to play it slower, as it has a somewhat melancholic (to my ears, anyway) feel to it. But it may have been meant to be played faster, with a more "triumphal" bounce, in keeping with its title(s). Great playing, Josh. When do you find time to learn, teach, and play so much banjo alongside a family and a medical practice?!
Hey Lynn - thanks! You may also enjoy the article series along the same lines that I'm writing in partnership with the Banjo Hangout right now - here's a link: clawhammerbanjo.net/the-immutable-laws-of-brainjo-the-art-and-science-of-effective-practice/
I owe you a debt of gratitude for ypur videos. I only have one suggestion -could you go through the tunes slowly the first time around?

Thanks for your suggestion, Mike - I'll probably keep these videos as full speed, but am working on some other video that give more in depth instruction for these tunes (which will include slower speeds).
Great stuff man, and thank you. Would you be able to provide a rendition for 'Red Rocking Chair'?

Hey Richie - thanks! Red Rocking Chair is a great tune, one I play but sometimes forget about. I'll put it toward the top of the list.
Now that you're on a Napoleon track, how about Bonaparte's Retreat?

While I probably won't do it two weeks in a row, odds are good you'll see another Napoleon tune here in the in the not too distant future :)
While I deeply enjoy and respect your awesome videos / tabs. Will you please do some in a not so extreme tuning? I'm all for tuning to double c or d. Even throwing on a capo. Maybe do a song or two in modular/ standard tuning? I would appreciate it.

Hey Daniel, thanks for your input - this tune actually is in "double D" tuning (aDADE), which is probably the tuning I spend more time in than any other (thanks to all the great D tunes out there!).
