Is Rank 11 attainable for a semi-hardcore pvp player? I only care about the mounts so 11 is my goal. I'm not expecting it to be handed to me on a silver platter, but about how many hours would someone have to put in a day to get 11?

Rank 11 is fairly attainable. You can “slow grind” to r9 or possibly r10 depending on how big the servers are (easier with larger player pool). You’ll just need to push really hard for 1-2 weeks at the end to hit r11.

Another great video. Excellent information. I do disagree with people getting too upset about campers at flight paths though. People that play on PVP servers want that experience. Does it suck sometimes? Hell yes. Is it awesome most of the time? A bigger HELL YES! The people that will be annoyed by people killing them will be playing on PVE servers, I think. You are bringing the hype. Keep it up. I can't wait!

I remeber those complains on forums about people ganking flight paths and BRM consistantly and main response was, "It's a PvP server"

I'm not sure the devs realize how impossible questing will be once one hits level 48.

No. Not really. It's not and efficient way to farm honor in World PvP so no one does this when BG's are not released.

Tbh there will be a few hardcore guys but keep in mind the servers wont be as packed as nostalrius or lightshope. There might be that one ranking premade farming blackrock and searing tho

I like the idea of organic pvp pre phase 2, that sounds like a lot of fun but unfortunately phase 2 "world PVP" doesnt sound very fun. Hopefully im wrong on that.

No way honor system goes live without BGs, they will change their mind. I've seen it on Kronos, questing becomes impossible in level 48+ zones.

And who the hell thinks 2019 classic is gonna be played the same way as 2004 keyboard turning players?? Nostalgia is gonna hit you hard in the face, if you think you will have the same experience as you had back in vanilla. Ive yet to meet a fucking clicker on any private server. Even some rank 14 players in vanilla were clickers.. Classic is gonna be played a whole lot differently by majority of the players, than it did back in the day. Obviously you didnt think about that based on your reply.

@@jesperjensen7567 That's a lie. Kronos 3 had 10k people on during release and during the phase before battlegrounds, plus players on at all times since they were from different regions. That's a misrepresentation. PLUS, private server players are generally more passionate/dedicated because they are willing to play on a server where their data is going to be reset eventually anyways

I'm surprised you viewed this announcement positively overall. Is having overpowered 1.12 PvP gear early really worth the negativity of camping flight paths and other hotspots? Not to mention having BGs, especially AB which might not be out till a year after launch, delayed for so long. It's just weird how you've always been so competitive premade v premade focused, spoken out against queue dodging, etc, and now you're cool with griefing players just because it means you'll have better gear early on.

I’m not particularly excited about the Honor system coming out before BG’s - it could end up being kinda cool but I think it’s more likely to be a brain dead farm of basically griefing people out in the world. I AM happy about the fact that WSG is coming out well before AB because I think WSG is the more interesting BG from a “competitive” standpoint. As for prem VS prem, those types of games even existing really hinges on 2 things: fixing dodging and/or giving us cross realm BGs. But yeah, I won’t lie, the main thing I’m really stoked about is the gear being put in the game before BWL because that guarantees that PvP will be important for everyone

So PvE server for those who wont rank 10+ and dont want to be gank just got alot more popular

@joey b if you are level 42 then level 60 tryhards aren't going to bother even attacking you, since you don't give honor to them. If they do, they won't corpse camp you, so just rez and move on. The real hell begins levels 50-60

First time I had to dislike one of your video's. Usually I agree with pretty much everything you say but this time not so much. I've played on servers that had similar timelines and it wasn't funny. Not for the rankers (myself and my friends) who camped travel nodes (flightpaths, Menethil Harbor and popular dungeons such as Dire Maul when it was released) but it was especially rough for the more casual players. The servers suffered a massive population drop because it just wasn't funny to play there for the vast majority of players who aren't at the top of the food chain. I had 5 real life friends who started playing on one of these servers on a more casual basis. 4 of them quit between lvl 48-59 before hitting 60 because they straight up couldn't play the game in an enjoyable way because they didn't hit 60 pre-honor-patch. One of the many cool things about PvP in vanilla is that everyone can engage in it with the gear they got PvE content. You don't HAVE to farm resilience gear to have fun. The entry ticket is much lower. If you have 5/8 giantstalker and a Rhok'delar bow you'll do just fine. Sure you won't be quite as well geared for PvP as a ranker but the difference isn't massive. With the lack of progressive itemization that is just gone. It's a huge loss for the PvP scene. This change increases the incentive to RANK but disincentivizes more casual players who just want to have fun in a battleground from engaging in PvP. On top of that BWL is by many considered the best patch to PvP in because the item balance is fairly good. Later in vanilla the damage runs out of control compared to stamina. For this reason as well I find it wierd that anyone in the vanilla PvP community would welcome this idea of 1.12 PvP-items. It also removes incentive to gain items from PvE for PvE since the PvP items outshine the gear PvP until AQ-patch. This timeline announcement was a huge disappointment for me. The main reason I like vanilla is the for PvP and this timeline is just a horrible idea for everyone. For the rankers because camping Menethil Harbor 24/7 is boring as hell. Because having overpowered items is boring. Because facing people with overpowered items becomes tedious. Because being a casual on a world pvp server with no battlegrounds and an active honor system is horrible for everyone involved. Just straight up a bad day. Hopefully blizzard change this. And no - I'm not gonna play on a PvE server. I would rather not play at all then. Vanilla is all about the PvP. This timeline severely ruins that experience for everyone. Rankers and casuals alike.

Casuals will always come up with 10 different excuses to quit the game. If they quit cuz they were getting ganked they would have quit the game anyways. Actually this pvp timeline is perfect and is exactly how it should be. Like you said, if it were any different there would be no incentive to rank. This way youll get to enjoy r14 items at least for a few months.

i was just thinking that the pvp gear will out rank anything pre aq why put it in so early they must think people wont get it that easy but trust me just look at what method did to get world 1st they farmed on there alts just to get throw way gear so there alts can trade of better gear to there mains do they really think they wont figure out away to get this rank 14 gear by the time aq drops lol

@@laylen245 I dont really understand what you are talking about. Aside from a handful of items, a lot of the BWL gear is better than the pvp gear. Ashkhandi is about the same as the r14 claymore. The ONLY item that remains relevant when AQ is released is the one handed sword and thats it... Furthermore, it seems like you are talking about pvp as though there is new things to discover. There isnt. The maximum amount of RP you can get is 13000 per week so you know exactly how long it takes to get rank 14.

@@war1497 No. That's not true at all. The updated R14 weapons are almost identical to AQ40 quality weapons but they all outshine BWL gear. However the updated item sets themselves are bis for several classes untill Deep into Naxx. This is for instance the case for Hunter who'se entire set is bis (in PvE). Warriors will keep the leggings. Same goes for several of the other classes. Also - there is plenty of incentive to rank without the updated items. The weapons are fantastic (they were also updated in P3) and these weapons are not dependent on getting lucky with the drops. The PvP non-updated sets themselves are great for PvP but in the updated version are on steroids and they become bis for PvE and PvP for several classes.

@@Frankenberryoneone The best version of the claymore does 79.x dps. Ashkhandi does 80 dps. Yeah the claymore is SLIGHTLY better because of its stats but its basically the same as the bwl weapon really. With the exception of a few very select pieces and for some classes only, pvp gear becomes irrelevant with the release of AQ. During the BWL patch, rank 14 does has a slight advantage compared to raidloggers but it really isnt a huge difference. Furthermore, why WOULDNT someone who grinds r14 have a slight advantage over players who play the game 2 hours a week? MC can be cleared in sub 20 minutes and BWL around 30 minutes.

If they are so incompetent that they can't gather a counter group to just ambush the campers, that's their own fault imo, it's called World of WARcraft for a reason.
