Every year we go camping and this old rig is onsite. I'm in love and have been for many years. I sure would love to put this in my driveway !!!!!!!!
This isn't a will it run, simply a walk around.
If you want to subscribe I sure would appreciate it.
Thank you all so much.

    Without a turbo, I believe it is a 250 cummins. Solid old rig!

    Definitely a 250 with a backdrop. They sound sweet with the muffler off. Beautiful truck.

    It is funny how they made those modifications. The way the headlights were done so you could put one or two in the housing. Definitely looks like an old Safeway truck. Probably like a 220 horse Cummins hard to say being it’s non turbocharged. Stay cool

    Probably wasn’t a power house but most of the fleet trucks weren’t. They just wanted to move materials and didn’t want guys breaking stuff, as evidenced by the tattle tales on the speedo and tach. Appreciate ya as always. If your ever in NE Oklahoma look me up.

    We Have a 74 352 daycab with a Cummins NTC350 no power steering, its first job was at Certified Grocers in Los Angeles. Originally has the 2 rear windows. Zero rust and straight as piss.

    This might be the rig that chewed and mangled the infamous cyclist from Faces of Death (1978). The most gruesome death aftermath I ever saw and I saw it all!

    Engine more than likely 220 Cummins with 10 speed Roadranger. My Dad drove several Pete cabovers in the early 60s. 290 was turbo charged

  • @russvoight1167
    @russvoight11674 ай бұрын

    Someone put a 13 speed shift knob on the stick but if you look the splitter button is gone and there are no air lines going into the shift knob for the overdrive splitter. The RT-910 is as follows: RoadRanger Transmission direct, 900 ft/lb torque capacity and 10 forward speeds. The rear windows were a factory option and even then Peterbilt offered a Nagahyde interior. Fleet drivers got just the basic interior package

    I’d venture a guess that it’s a mid 60’s, and being a fleet rig, my best educated guess is a 220 Cummins.

    @@BrokenWrenchesalso, I do believe it is just a 10 speed. The quick glimpses I saw of the trans appear to be a non overdrive rear section. Indeed, would be a cool ol sweetheart to have and fart around with.

    A tachograph is the old time version of tracking. These days they can track you every 30 seconds in their office on the other side of the country. They even can check your weights now on the same system. A lot of old drivers are leaving because of it.
