The two reasons that spring to mind are: [Note I'm just writing what I remember, I haven't fact checked this] 1 - in case of fuel contamination which reduces your engine power or kills your engine you don't risk your life. Even for multi engines aircraft, if something is wrong with the fuel it has the chance of killing all engines (which is obviously very dangerous) 2 - water is more dense then jet fuel or gasoline/petrol and diesel, so in an aircaft, if there are the right conditions there is a risk that water bubbles form on the bottom of the fuel tank and get ingested, potentially clogging up the fuel system (which I assume is more finicky than a car). See - British Airways flight 38

Someone else has replied some of the main reasons, but the other main one they didn't mention is that aircraft fuel tanks are much more exposed to rain than car ones. Because they are much more in the open inside the wings, any rain is much more likely to find it's way into the tank than in a car tank.

@@federico339 It isn't bubbles, it is ice. That flight is Boeing 777, can fly high enough to reach temperatures that affects fuel. Cessna 152 have lower altitude, but the water issue remains: engine ingesting water instead of fuel.

If they are there because the hospital put them there, you are correct. If it happens outside of the hospital then you’re at extreme chance of infection because the maggots aren’t bred in a controlled environment, but are rather bred by disgustingly germy flies that will make any wound infected

I must've watched Top Gear reruns hundreds of times, but I keep finding bits of music that I recognise! Example: the music at 1:15 is Jynweythek Ylow by Aphex Twin. I would have been 6 when that segment first aired, but I only started listening to his music 10+ years later. It's weird, but in a way Top Gear shaped my music taste.

Whoever was in charge of music really had their thumb on the pulse of what was truly great at the time. Even if you don't recognize the song I recommend you find it and play it cause you will probably like it too. Finding new music you like a delight and I bet the DJ revealed a lot of bands to a lot of people.
