CITIZEN offer some amazing value Dive watches in their PROMASTER line!
You often have to go digging deep through their catalogue though as they don't often shout about it. I have the Promaster BNO 150 in black. Came on a rubber/polyurethane strap, wore it for a month ...hated it. Picked up a stainless oyster bracelet from Long Island Watch ( they make two types for the BNO 150 and BNO 151 ). I couldn't be more happy with it Citizen watches are brutally under rated.

I'd get another. The new automatics 40mm based on the barnacle watch have my attention
They do a nice small dive watch with circular markers.

Do you think you were lucky regarding the second hand that hits all the markers every time? After all, that would be a remarkable feature for such an affordable watch. The reason why I don't like affordable quartz watches so much is that most of the time the second hand lands somewhere between the minute markers. I can't stand that very well. I believe the Oceanus from Casio is one of the cheapest watches with a self aligned second hand. It's a tough solar radio controlled watch, which makes it a very accurate watch as well.

I don't think so regarding Citizen. I've had 5 eco drives, all hitting their markers. I find Seiko the opposite unfortunately, although perfect timekeeping

Strange isn't it? Such a good watch, just so many alternatives
