This looks like such a good alternative to what seiko are offering at the moment, maybe its citizen time to become the new affordable king from Japan. Well seen as Seiko keep pushing their prices up.

I agree Wes. I think Seiko is going to price themselves off alot of watch peeps radar and right into the loving arms of Citizen.

I love, love, love Citizen and their Eco-Drive movement. Completely bulletproof. However, I wish they would release a model with smaller dimensions. This watch would be absolutely killer at 40mm.

Lol kittisauras at the beginning, fantastic! That’s a sharp looking watch, love the orange second hand and I can see it going nicely with an orange fkm rubber strap. Definitely wanna get a citizen solar, eco drive watch at some point, this one looks great! The bracelet is great too, you can get away with this as a dress piece as well, impressed with this one. Great review as always Hector!!

I think you are right, this is nicer for sure than the newer Seiko 5s that are out there, much better bracelet, not folded links like the SRPD59 is, you have officially convinced me brother, I’m going to get me one of these citizen divers, at some point!

Yes, these model are a dressier diver. Not as toolish. Love them

Beautiful watch, that blue goes to purple and almost black depending on angle of light, killer review. Sunburst on the dial, excellent. I'm wearing a Citizens BNO 150 Promaster as I type. Citizen dive watches are criminally under rated.

The Citizen watch group is huge worldwide, owning many brands, such as Bulova …but it’s not so much here in the US in my own opinion , they’ve decided to avoid the competition here in the U.S releasing their higher models ( to include mechanical pieces ) to other global markets..I think as Seiko have recently gone more luxury as well , we’ll start to see Citizen slide in on the sub $1,500 here stateside moving forward !!

Ouch. I cant imagine Citizen climbing up to those prices but then again I never expected Seiko too either. 🤦

I have this watch and its affordable and has a decent jewlery effect to it..the lume is decent as well.HOWEVER I got this watch wet and I dried afterwards of course cleaned it and all that.then next time I put it on in my rotation the bezel was froze up.i tried a tiny bit of gun oil to it to free it up and the damn bezel popped tf off..and citizens warranty does not cover any exterior breakage.so now its just a watch with a no rotation bezel.all my dive watches have been baptized in fresh water and only this one failed me

Wow! Sorry to hear that. I wonder what caused the bezel to freeze up? I know the oil probably helped the bezel pop off. Just wonder if dirt or something trapped in between the case and bezel. I am sure a watchmaker can pop on and make right.

@@WINDINGCROWNS well when the bezel came off there was also a very fine circular spring or wire that was all kinked up,so I DONT know.i tried putting back on but it will not go on without that little wire piece in there perfectly..the watch is affordable enough to get another one..but idk if I want to spend 300 just have 2 of them which one of the 2 bezel functions..i still have the watch and I still wear it from time to time..but I always fiddle with my watches bezel..kinda like a figgit spinner😂
