  I felt the same way when I bought an SKX007 a couple of years ago. A bit underwhelmed and think that others are better value or built like the Citizen NY0040. I have the Citizen NB1050 and think that it's a great watch and already better specs than the SARB033. I can appreciate it for what it was back then, but still can't understand the hype to this day. Great insight video. Thanks!

  That’s a very fine collection. Especially the vintage ones. And you are right. You only need one watch and that’s a diver. If I had to choose one watch only, I would go for my Seiko Turtle. 🕐⚙️🍸

  I think part of the disappointment that you felt is how far along you are in your watch collecting journey. If you got this earlier and you were new to watch collecting this will hold much value and happiness. It represents to me as an owner of one, a time when saphire, great size/fit and finishing was unheard of at the time it was released. If you compare it now to some new releases it will definitely disappoint, it can even be beaten by some alliexpress watch

  That is a perfect watch. Keep it forever with those great memories. These are the sleepers, similar and quality to some of the hype watches and fly under the radar. When you see somebody who’s changed out the straps and they’re wearing it with love, that’s the real heartbeat of, the watch collecting community. Thank you for the KZread channel.

  I bought a rotary.. from a shop window In Torquay mmm lost interest in a week sometimes it just doesn’t work . Also to add the sell on is atrocious.. the value plummets

  I bought this watch straight from Japan at the beginning of my watch collecting journey 12 / 13 years ago. Wanted something different and bumped into it by accident and it turned out to be a great decision. Now more than a decade later I own a lot of watches. A couple of Tudor’s, Breitling, Oris, Seiko’s, Maen etc. etc. Still this Seiko is one of my favorites and I receive a lot of compliments whilst wearing it

  If you want a small seiko it's either 1700$ king seiko or 2500$ quartz grand seiko. They issued a new 37 mm seiko 5, though I didn't really like a dial and a shape of the watch.

  Love the high polish on the bezel. They're a much overlooked brand, which is a shame considering the history. Some amazing looking watches for loonie money, and you won't find many negative reviews from people who've actually lived with one for a while.

  If you love the Turtle and can't splash for Seiko prices, you can't go wrong with the Steeldive, and still has Seiko at its heart with the NH35.

  Couldn't agree more. Citizen and Casio are unbeatable for budget-conscious buyers. I have the Citizen Eco-Drive BM8550-14A on a bracelet and no matter how closely you inspect it, there's no telling where the solar panels are on one of the clearest white dials your ever likely to see. The finishing is gorgeous, and it feels so comfortable on the wrist. My last great everyday watch was a Citizen Eco Drive and my next one probably will be too. Subbed.

  I like citizen, you show them off well, make a good case for them. But, the incidental background music, not to everyone's taste, too loud if it's louder than you - didn't you notice? Off-putting; if you can redo that please... Also, when showing the seconds hand hitting the marker, you need to hold/place the watch square to the camera. And, try not to have reflections that prevent one seeing the dial...

  Addition to my other comment: I have tons of eco drives. I like them but I think they don’t wear near as comfortable as Seikos. Am I wrong? 🕐⚙️🍸

  Interesting comparison that. Because, yes you are right. But that's because Seiko wear so amazingly well! In comparison with many others I find some Citizen, like this , wear very well. Curved lugs

  I am not a guy but I like this King Seiko model. It is beautiful. I like the dark purple one though. Agree with the design of the watch on the wrist. Very fitting. I have seiko watches in both 4R and 6R movements. I think both of them have similar problems though. My alpinist on the 6R runs the best. But the 4R on the pressage seems to be running a bit off if you don't wear it daily and rely on the winding on most days.

  @@perfectwrist23 you should check out the purple dial. The dial colour appears to change according to different lighting conditions, varying from an almost black in colour to dark blue.

  Nice review, i have this GMT-1758 Map version and a GMT-1693. But i found the 1693 is much well made of. It's only flaw is fixed bezel, limited dial color option. But the bracelet and clasp of 1693 is also vert strong and nice. I expected more from the 1758 but except for the NH34 movement i got disappointed to see the quality when i put the two watches together, Besides i likes the 42mm dial. of 1693. Anyway about accuracy of time keeping i still haven't noticed any specificity of 1758. Apparently both performs the same. Don't know which movement does 1693 has but as a layman i didn't notice any difference. Price of 1758 is much higher in AliExpress. I must mention that in my 1758 watch the GMT hand doesnt properly aligns up with the hour indicator but it wasn't an issue with 1693. I informed the seller about this.

  It is very addictive just like any hobby that involves collecting. What I always recommend to people is to buy quality over quantity. Dont buy cheap Seikos etc. Buy watches that at least retain value

  Buy expensive Seikos! BTW, if you only buy watches as an investment, then you aren't a true watch collector. Watches are tools and accessorizes a learned man. They are an iconic milestone of success, the pursuit of pushing personal envelopes, and the appreciation of excellence.

  It's completely true. I took a 5 month break from watch hunting. And then suddenly I bought one at the end of May, then another one a week later, and a third one 2 days later. All beautiful, all very accessible. But now I feel bad, because it's too many watches in just 2 weeks. Best regards
