I saw this today. Was In tears a few times. It's quite simply one of the best films I've ever seen. As a bonus, it's like a detectorists reunion. And Stephen toast pops up. I'll say it again. It's a wonderful movie. Remember this is only Robbies opinion. If you have children, and are a fan of pooh.. this is unmissable. It's also a very beautiful film, the scenery and character design are lovely. I'm even sure it was 100 acre wood.

I think this doesn't pass the cry, but it hits the wet eye test a few times. I expected something different from the trailer, so was surprised when after a really slow start I became engrossed in it. Beautifully shot and some very needed one liners made the film, for me, a success. Moralistically it's profound, as many children's productions are, but it was the innocence of Pooh that shone through and yes, perhaps only adults can reflect on our actions, but kids can too. Best line CR 'there's more things important than balloons and honey', WTP 'are you sure? Fab Sunday afternoon film, I recommend it, unless you're a dad that works too much, in which case it will hurt.

I rather enjoyed it. It's not Paddington, but as Robbie says, it's not trying to be. I think it was aimed with Adults in mind, with a bit more of a Lego Movie-esque message. It's also clearly a Marxist piece, encouraging the workers to stand up to bourgeoise Woozles and to take the power back. (that last sentence may or may not have been a joke.)

Myself and the family watched this yesterday and we loved it. It's gentle, charming and funny. Pooh is as cute as ever and there were several touching moments that brought a tear (or two) to my daughter's eye. Highly recommended family fun.

I don't think you need to explain what a Heffalump or a Woozle is.

It’s a film about mental health issues but to Disneyfy it and lighten the mood the “imaginary” characters are real....there that’s what it’s trying to be, it’s the same with Hook, if you watch it thinking Robin Williams is locked up in an institution it’s much darker just like the original story.

wow I sat through like 3 mins of this vid with the plot just being described and you were able to give me a sense of what the film is like in 2 sentences. Not that have anything against Robbie! but thanks

I thought it was a beautiful film. It does have an adult tone. But I loved it. Would love to know what Mark Kermode thought of it..instead of his lacky. ;D

Far FAR closer to Paddington than it is to James Corden's Christopher Rabbit.

For me this is one of the most delightful, charming, and wonderful Children's films in years. Its a pure fantasy and just a joy. To compare it to the Last temptation of Christ is Ludacris and as silly as Pooh can be at times. The film passed the six laugh test, the story was exciting and the children in the cinema were totally gripped. I couldn't agree less with Robbie on this one. Pooh and the others are placed in the real world and their wonder and reaction to it is terrific to watch. Please Mark K come back and set things right and tell us who great this is. Robbie you are trying to read to much into it. Its a children's film ..ok. Just enjoy it.

I just watched this with my 8 and 10 year old. I can’t remember the last time they laughed so joyously during a film. You have no ability to understand the child’s perspective. Please do not try `Robbie.

I disagree. I thought it was adorable and my daughter thought so too.

Beautiful kidult film. Totally disagree with the review. The cinema was filled with kids laughing alongside adults laughing, it dialled very cleverly into nostalgia and I think AA Milne would be proud of the team. A film that adults can feel safe taking their little ones too knowing nothing nasty is going to frighten them. The script, voices and sets were spot on. The Pooh Zen wisdom was brought to everyone in a new and innovative way. I feel the review here is too analytical....let the inner child watch it and enjoy.

Holte Citizen - Haven't you heard his review last Friday? It was worse! I'm still looking at going to see it thou.

This film was not joyful or fun. The tone was way off. Not for kids...or adults.

This guy is the worst film critic I've ever seen. I can't believe he's on radio: he's such a terrible speaker. Kermode, please!
