Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZread, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZread. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZread, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

One of the greatest guitar outtros in Rock history that nobody hardly heard. I have no idea what that engineer who mixed this song was thinking burying that gem.

Michael McDonald on backing vocals in this tune. Great tune and reaction!

Lip-sync'd off the studio hit as that show often did, so Michael is not there. Instead the bass player is pretending to sing that part.

Yeah, Christopher Cross is a sleeper that everyone kind of looks over. But when you play his tunes, everyone has some kind of fond memories about what they were doing while listening to a CC song. lol He only has a few really big hits, but he has some "deep cuts" that I personally enjoy listening too. Here's another one of his very successful hits, a lot of radio airtime. "Christopher Cross - Never Be The Same" (by the channel: Christopher Cross) This was fun a lot of great memories, brother thanks for sharing.

Another great reaction, Shawn!!! Yes, Christopher Cross went to high school at Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio. His band also played in Austin a lot. This first album won 5 Grammys. The only other artist to ever do that is Billie Eilish. I first saw him live in 1981, many times since, and most recently last year in Austin where he currently lives. From this album you should also listen to "Sailing" and "I Really Don't Know Anymore". Great reaction!!

Whoever made this specific request must’ve done so because of the Earl Campbell/Texas connection, because this is a lip sync to the actual record. That’s why you hear those awesome Michael McDonald (Doobie Brothers) background vocals here. Great song. And Christopher Cross is a great guitarist.

You have to check out the actual live version from the Midnight Special. It's much better and Cross burns the guitar solo up. This one was overdubbed or something. Even if you don't do a reaction video for it, do yourself a favor and watch it. You'll enjoy it.

You can clearly hear that this is the studio version(some other commenter stated that). That's okay, the studio version is great.

This wasn’t live. They played the studio version, and lip synced to it. There is another version of this that was recorded live, and it has a great, long solo at the end. Definitely worth a listen. I never realized he could shred on the guitar like he does.

This was a hugely successful song, but it has more in common with Yacht Rock than Disco. It's not Soft Rock yet it's not Hard Rock, and it's not quite Pop Rock. I think it's Yacht Rock. Cross's other huge hit, "Sailing," is more Soft Rock and won the Grammy for Song of the Year, and it's also very good, but I like this song more because it Rocks harder. ❤✌

BTW, I'm almost certain that the studio track was overlaid onto this video, or this was a case of lip-syncing, which happened a lot during TV appearances back then. Still, good video.
