I agree; I wish people would have contacted Hope for Paws before the mother was killed! I am however so grateful they reached out for help finally. It all must start with a call or a text from a compassionate human willing to take action; not just walk by them day after day..

Hope they keep them together. They'd be better off that way. Wouldn't want either of them to get separation anxiety. Dogs are prone to it.

I agree but unfortunately not all dogs fully recover. I've volunteered at local shelter.Some dogs appear unscathed, others fearful, still others unapproachable. No doubt, it depends a great deal on what the dog was subjected to and for how long. I rescued a Border Collie that turned out to be semi-feral. His life definitely improved but sadly, he never fully recovered from the first ten years of his life. www.lanceaspiritunbroken.com

The sadness in Dads eyes is soul-crushing, the cruelty he must've endured is heartbreaking But the transformation, so heartwarming! I hope they both found their forever homes

I love how in the end they are thanking u and Loretta with so much kisses , Bless u all ,,,

This was one of the best. It is rare that a male dog will take over puppy-rearing if a female is not around so cheers for Sylvester. The very end when Sylvester realizes that it is his son Speedy wrapped up in the blanket and you see his joy over the reunion is a Kleenex moment. I sure hope they have a loving forever home by now.

Loreta's rescue skills are incredible. It was great how first the son then the father dog warmed right up to her presence. Very kind of both Loreta and Eldad to not only rescue, but also capture on video so that others can learn.

We've been together for 5 months now and we are still strong. I took my time to get prepared in all dimensions. The first month was a bit hectic but once we got used to each other, it's all love❤️🥰. I'm an overthinker and get anxiety once in a while. Surprisingly, she (chichi) detects whenever I'm in distress and lays on my lap to try and distract me. I am totally blessed to have her❤️.

make the decision carefully though. they are not hassle free. your renting and holiday options suddenly shut down dramatically. there are probably dogs within your group that you could "timeshare". some people have jobs and need someone to walk their dog. my mom cares for a sweet little dog 3 times a week. she loves it and doesn't have to deal with the long term responsibility

tara I went to the site to see who is available for adoption. Speedy is not on the website, but Sylvester is. Speedy might have already been adopted, while Sylvester is still there.

It would be better that way, but I guess it's not always possible. I'm sure they'll be fine either way - so long as they have lots of human love and support. When they only had each other it would have been much tougher if they got separated.

A non-psychopathic human heart cannot dislike such a story. The fact that these "dislikes" show up immediately upon the video being posted indicates these people are waiting for them, and are probably subscribed. Reasons can vary for such behavior. Could be they have a video posted that doesn't get as many views, or they just don't like seeing a video with no dislikes. But actually disliking the story shown? I don't believe it for a second.

Many kids watch these videos and probably can't donate to the Hope For Paws charity, so making sure you don't skip the adverts is a way of helping Eldad and company pay for the incredible work they do. It's so sad that we domesticated animals so they can't survive, but then people abandon them, what do they imagine is going to happen to them? I just don't understand people who are cruel to animals. My mother was a horrible person who treated her children very badly (and our Dad) and I found refuge with animals. I had a horse, and we always had dogs and cats. My mother used to get rid of my animals if I got too close to them. She had 2 of them killed. When I was an adult I got 2 dogs from Battersea Dog's Home, this was after my fiance died, and I needed something to stop me from trying to harm myself again. I hadn't intended to get 2 dogs, but they chose me as much as I chose them. Strangely, I discovered too late that they hadn't been spayed. I don't know what happened as all dogs who go through rescue homes are spayed or castrated. One had puppies (I am sure she was the daughter of the other dog though I was given no back story for them. She had been called Poppy, her mother was Dusty) They really saved my life, I now have 2 cats (I wasn't allowed dogs in my flat) both rescued, one my daughter and I found in a box, seconds away from jumping out next to a busy road. She popped her head out just as we got to her, and would have got all the way out if we hadn't been there. I am moving so hope to adopt a dog, if the cats accept it. I will get a senior dog who is used to cats. I hope it goes well 🤔

They did get adopted but got separated Ik this because once he was adopted I found the son “speedy” running around town but we named him midnight but as if now he was stolen while we were walking him sooo... we been looking for him ever since I hope he’s doing well now but ya;(

You guys need to take a step back. Dogs have no concept of “wife”, “girlfriend”, “parent” or “kid”. Yes, they can care about other dogs and yes they can be bonded, and show loyalty. But trying to apply human social concepts to dogs is doing no one any favors.

Why was this pair not adopted out together? I rescued a pair bonded by past abuse and found on the street in this shape, 2 female littermates. Even local animal control saw they weren't ok a minute apart, and I got over 10 years of joy as their owner until cancer took one at 10. Her littermate is 15 and now has 2 other rescues she's bonded with, but it's not like she was before. She looks for her sister and grieves still every day, such a different dog. Some dogs can't be separated. Many wanted this pair, together.

I can't imagine the relief these dogs feel when they finally realize they are no longer on their own and will have food, water, shelter, care and LOVE! These two are adorable and it's too bad mom dog couldn't have lived to see this day.

How long ago did you rescue them? The son is an exact clone of my sweet boy. I found, and fell in love with, him two years ago. He was alone, dumped, and super sweet. He wasn't shy when I tried to get close. He walked up and put his head in my lap. His chip was wiped, tags torn off the collars, and neglected. Whoever it was didn't want him back. They missed out. He's one of the best things to have happened in my life.

Wait! "His chip was wiped"?! Are your saying that a chip can be wiped clean or deleted? If so, somebody tried to erase your sweet boy. How very heartbreaking.

Aside from my wife and family, my dogs have definitely been the best things that have happened to me, other than becoming a Christian. I do hope my animals will be there with me in heaven.
