Some people just don’t deserve the unconditional love of a dog, and whoever dumped this precious girl is definitely one of those people. 9 months ago I lost my girl at 13 years and I would do anything to get one more week with her.

Poor baby. Dobermans are very sensitive dogs that bond to one person. What a horrible human being.

So a badly bred dog was badly used to breed more... This is why breeders and buyers should be taxed. Then the tax should be used to fund rescues...

Isn't the breeder exactly. Dobermans seem to be carriers, many with zero symptoms. The numbers are going up. Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and Scottish Terriers have the worst experiences symptomaticly. Info from a DVM reputable site.

That's a good idea to tax them, but I'd like to add that it wouldn't stop them from abandoning them. Maybe if there was a strict dog registration and such, then laws in place to fine or press charges against them can prevent animal abandonment.

Even tho there are certainly too many unwanted dogs, I think the biggeest offenders are the people trying to get some $$s out of it & that does not include most purebred breeders. They invest in genetic, hip, eye, &immunity testing and such. So you would penalize them along with all the mutt breeders who make zero effort to rid the dog population of genetic diseases. I know you are virtue signalling, and that is what is most important to you (not the welfare of dogs). But honestly stop to think, for once, before posting nonsense.

I absolutely cannot do that to any living being, I just cannot comprehend that. I sometimes work in a veterinary clinic and I love animals.

Such a gentle temperament Florence has. She reminds me of one of the sweetest dogs I ever knew (aside from my own). Years ago, a dobie was dumped and left for dead in DTLA. A friend saved this one, named him "Prince", then the rescue restored him to health, and Prince was rehomed to a couple up in Thousand Oaks. It was a true rags-to-riches success story, and I know lovely Florence will also have a great new life, thanks to Tania and HFP.💕🐾☮️

I don't understand why so many think strays are vicious. Some are, but watching these rescue videos, most are willing to be friendly. I mean, from LA to St Louis, these people are changing lives, and not just dog lives...

Florence the DoberWoman took a long time to build up her strength. The vet suspected she was confined to a tiny space and obviously used as a puppy machine! She’s great with other animals, house trained, loves men (daddy’s girl) and is ready for a forever home. Thank you to the Hope For Paws team for saving her life!
