They're university dorm-mates in Khabarovsk according to their videos. Alena *likes* coffee and works as a barista. I suspect that she may be able to drink much coffee at work for free. My father offered me all I could eat freely of *ten* different flavors of ice-cream to join him working.

I am so glad to see you happy and safe, and relieved that Alena is safe now.

@@nuitNo.6Not plural but because of instrumental case, demanded by the preposition «с», usually translated as “with”. So «с Новым годом» literally means “with New Year” (or “New year be with (you)”). The nominative case (like the default form) for New Year is Новый год. Declining into instrumental case: новый -> новым, год -> годом. «С + instrumental case» is the standard construction for congratulating someone for something (e.g., birthday, anniversary). This construction may seem weird to English speakers but it is what it is/

Yes, but you adapted! Everyone seemed insincere at first, then you absorbed the different cultural context. And after you returned to Russia, everyone asked why you were smiling all the time. It was as tho you were up to something secret, or had some secret knowledge or whatever. Something suspicious? Loved it. Reminds of when I came back to the US after a quarter in Mexico as a freshman. But I had been there before at least. And nothing so profound.

Thank you for your insight into a very complex area of the world. It's so delightful to see real humans letting their spirit shine thru the smog of obsolete thought systems and showing us that your light is shining thru the gloom . Your energy seems much lighter and more relaxed since you moved to Tblisi. Blessings to you and your friends in this new year.

Да, надеюсь они добились от Франции, Германии, Омерики и прочих англичан, что бы они не поставляли оружие, которое стреляет в том числе по мирным гражданам, Россия пока не проводит свои учения на границе США, а с той стороны уже фактически наносят удары по территории России, всё это может кончится не очень хорошо, если Наташа выступит против этих милитаристов, то возможно даже будет мир.

To protest against the war in Ukraine is so an important signal to a world in which the term "russian" became more and more a term for cruelty and threat. Showing that so many russian people have the same needs like other people anywhere in the world, a normal civil life apart of war, propaganda, suppression and wartime economy, is eminent.

If the West defeats Russia in Ukraine they will open the borders to refugee immigration. Which will destroy the native culture and social cohesion.
