Going to the IC3PEAK concert in Tbilisi // Russian music now

Today I'll tell you about of my favorite Russian bands, Ic3peak. They were censored even before the war as they were raising important social issues and criticizing the government. And like many other musicians, they left Russia, and now oppose the war and hold concerts in other countries. In this video I'll show you some moments from their concert and share my impressions.

No you shouldn't. You should learn the truth not Western propaganda. The USA funds people exactly like her to spread disinformation & build coloured revolutions. The USA funded the Coup in Ukraine in 2014 and installed their puppet Government in Kiev, who started the war against their ethnic Russian population in the East of Ukraine (the Donbass). NATO has funded & militarised Ukraine for 8 long years for a proxy war with Russia, their objective is regime change so they can carve it up & get their grubby hand all the riches of Russia's endless natural resources. Natasha won't tell you this or the fact that the USA are desperately seeking a war with China using Taiwan as their proxy. You should not be supporting this considering what the USA did to Vietnam.

I think this vlog is a good example to learn for everybody. As you see in the answer above (or 13h ago), in the western world there are different opinions and "truth" is not always true as well. Learn how to judge and to compare, double check with different sources, check who has interest in your opinion and why. Sometimes to belive a easy solution is just more confortable than to think. And if someone tells me "you should not" I always ask *why* I shouldn't, correct @Pessi?

@@japetbu3487 Different options in the West??? Good one??? 😂 How are there different options in the West when the Neo Liberal, Globalist Establishment & their Western MSM mouthpiece push out the same propaganda & lies? Particularly on their foreign policy that targets certain countries that develop & grow through their own interests for their people. Tell this person what happens to journalists like Julian Assange that tells the truth & exposes US war crimes in their illegal wars that serve their own imperialist interests. How is that having a different option??? The USA caused the death of how many Vietnamese people in the Vietnam war??? Oh yeah that just gets swept under the carpet like the rest of the USA's crimes! Funny how people like you are happy to push the accusations of Western propaganda about other countries yet completely turn a blind eye to the crimes that the US empire has committed all over the world to maintain its Hegemonic status and fulfill its own interests for its ruling class. You are nobody special, just another prisoner to the lies and propaganda of your establishment... Very sad!

Those in power will always use the argument, that who opposes them hates the country and the people in it. It's a trademark of fascism, that the leaders, in truly absolutist fashion, set themselves equal to the country and the people in it. Thus, if you oppose the leaders, you oppose everyone. Saying "Natasha hates Russia" says a lot more about the people who say it, then it says about Natasha.

I'm eastern European and grew up in the US. There's lots of Trump-fans that fetishize eastern European women as obedient and traditional women who don't want anything more than to live a quiet life on a farm with some working class joe with a bad personality and an obsession with guns. Needless to say, the few of those guys that actually make it out to Eastern Europe are quickly disappointed by the reality that we don't live in villages for fun, we live in villages because life in the city is expensive and our lives revolve around keeping our finances in the positive, regardless of our happiness and fulfillment. I love being in my mom's village, I'm currently here to relax and destress a little, but American conservatives don't get how depressing it can be out here, the alcoholism that grips EVERYONE, the lack of hope for our future. Americans are extremely privileged and even the working-class "joes" have it soooo much easier than almost every eastern European. They think they're gritty like us, but they couldn't survive a year in a true eastern European village, having to count ever coin for gas to get around.

I was looking for contemporary Russian language musicians when I started learning Russian over two years ago. And the old Yeah Russia videos (back then the Russian language was still one of the main topics) on IC3PEAK caught my attention and I was very impressed, musically and politically, as a fellow citizen of a neighbouring country sharing many similar social problems. Another band, recommended by Zack the Russian, that I really like is Molchat Doma. I ended up listening more to that band simply because as a language learner I like to practice sing along and IC3PEAK’s voices are too hard to mimic. In terms of lyrics, both bands provide commentaries on life under post-Soviet societies (Russia and Belarus). While Molchat Doma is more opaque and introspective, IC3PEAK is unambiguous and outspoken. Both are great bands. I hope Russian-language music get more attention in the world.

I remember your old videos, so not surprising about your topics after the aggresion on Ukraine. What is admiring by the Ic3peak is that they didn't just sit and shut up after the album "до свида́ния", but they made an even more extreme (in music and lyrics) album like "Kiss of Death". What is remarcable also: the album was produced in an former soviet country (I will not reveal which one) so not a cent is given to Russian State. They canceled the tour in Russia last year (I bought the same t-shirt btw!!! 😊) , but they played in Kharkhiv and other Ukrainian cities. I'm proud to see that Noise MC too (who I appreciate) took such a position against the war, it's sad that people like him (and many many other artists, writers, journalists, chess champions, videoblogger like you Natasha and many other common people) had to leave their country for this. I remember a comment under the video of the song "Смерти Больше Нет" by a Kremlin troll who denied that in Russia there was any form of repression "When I read such comments I think I live in the North Korea or even worse". Would be funny to found his comment now and answer "even worse". Well, all I can say is: we already saw this in Europe, people had to flee because of their opposition to dictatorships. And what they did outside the country? They meet togheter, they shared ideas, they organized the opposition and thought about the future of their country, and when there was the opportunity to come back, they played a crucial role. I'm talking about dozens of anti-fascists dissidents: don't just dispersed, they met each other elsewhere and helped their country from the outside.

I got turned on to ic3peak when you did a language video on one of their songs. im an American goth. also living in Georgia just the one next to Florida. I really like them. that dark but relevant poetry that I will always associate to my concept of Russia.

Natasha, I love both your travel videos and your videos about politics. I'm happy to see you have the courage to speak out against war and oppression. You also have the intelligence and common sense to see though the propaganda. Looked like a fun concert! Thank you for explaining the songs. By the way, your outfit and makeup were charming.
