    That's what I thought at first, but there would be so much illégal activities around that. People would still get ammo for an okay price but it would make money for the criminals Wich isn't a good thing

  • @jovanleon7

    Rabitozoc Tuikalon It could actually be good because much lesser people would own many bullets and people would really keep their bullets, until it's absolutely required to be used of course. And the police could be much more focused on hunting down the big criminals.

    Jovan Leon I'm not for that. I'm a liberal who's also a gun enthusiast. I'm not for banning certain firearms or ammunition but rather for background checks. I shoot for sport and ammunition is already pretty spendy. Just one afternoon of target practice with a .40 s&w would cost a good $50-$300. Only the rich folks would be able to afford going to the range if ammo was super spendy

    @@cockeyedoptimista l once had a discussion about video games and violence. One of the things l said was that no one ever robbed a bank cause they played too much candy crush. I know it's more complex than that but l couldn't help it at the time.

  • @cockeyedoptimista

    @cockeyedoptimista

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@thirdplanet4471 Ha ha; good point. I don't even know what Candy Crush entails, but I guess so. People are responsible for their actions, especially if they're adults (which some of these shooters are not, but still: they're close, and know right from wrong, Hopefully!) And if they're crazy, they would have done it anyway, found some other influence. Still, media exposure to violence and other negative things can numb us and influence us, as it could in good ways too. Maybe it can be a safe release of bad energy in some ways: okay. Maybe it's just a movie, a game, a song.. Some people are more sensitive and susceptible than others. We suspend our disbelief to be entertained, and that makes things seem real. I close my eyes in murder scenes and so forth: my sister said "It's just a movie!" but some have a better imagination or stronger empathy and they don't want to see gore and mayhem even if you know in the back of your mind it's just stage effects. It can desensitize you. But yeah, it shouldn't make you into a killer unless maybe you spend All your time in it, and then something Else is wrong. Violence in media is Still not a great thing, though.

    Depends on how you want to define it. A lot of people like to inflate the numbers by including shootings that happen *near* a school and don't have anything to do with the school When Columbine happened, we had many of those laws people keep pushing for now and they didn't do anything. They new really will do anything against people like that. Crazy finds a way. The only difference is if sane can defend itself or not.

    I don't mind listening to comics talk about politics and politicians as long as the comic is an equal opportunity "offender." If they poke fun at one party they need to balance it with commenting about another party. A problem I see is that some comics go on an anti individual tirade and use comedy to offer political opinions; they, in effect, become political militants using comedy to deliver a political message. Attack one party and not the other and you lose half your audience. I enjoy listening to Chris Rock.
