Chinese Knock-offs that can KILL you!

There is a fine line between counterfeiting for profit by making fake goods and harming people for profit by making fake goods! In China there are unfortunately more and more cases where unscrupulous people chasing a quick buck will put people's lives at risk by making toxic and or unsafe fake foods, medicine and drinks! Come and see just how far down the rabbit hole this industry goes here in China!

Nobody wants to invent anything or create new ideas as they have no patent or copyright law. Anything decent you create in China can and will be immediately stolen, copied and counterfeited by everyone else. Inventing things and getting new ideas off the ground usually takes a lot of time, effort and sacrifice. Why bother when you'll never really own your ideas and inventions you may as well just copy others. Sad but it's true. We have an amazingly brilliant way of doing things here in the west. We respect individual rights and property.

I live in Denmark , we have the company Novo Nordic that produces insulin and insulin pens , they are well known for the accuracy of the insulin pens , these pens where copied in China and sold through pharmacies there , looked totally similar , but very dangerous due to unaccuracy dosage , in some cases they gave 50 x the dosis . Its said that Novo Nordic had the triads (chinese mafia) to sort out this problem , police didnt help . Rumors says that the triads burned down the copy facility .

But I didn't realise that corona was a knockoff one. Next morning, paralysed for whole day, went to the local clinic, could not control myself, vomited in front of the doctor. This is one reason why foreign companies have to put their own people in place of operations in China to ensure that everything runs as expected. A friend of mine had some products made in China. The samples were perfect and built to spec. When he released the production order, product that arrived was not uniform at all. The vendor decided to make changes to the design because it saved them money regardless of what his design called for.

Quality will improve when workers can afford the products they produce. Then China will no longer have a cheap labor advantage. For instance Thailand has much better quality control. Their labor rate is more expensive than China. It is always a compromise. How much money are you willing to pay for upper management to control quality.

  • @bird718

fatboy19831 the problems is the Chinese government goes out of its way to keep its people poor and the currency low. the last thing Chinese people want to buy is stuff made in china. if its not made in china then china has no use for the rest of the world who specially goes to china for the cheap labor.

  • @andresiniesta9955

bird718 No developing country can compare with China's speed of pulling its people out of poverty. No sane person would deny that. Also, the currency is currently priced right, not undervalued. China has better quality control than Thailand, and its workers are more expensive. China's workers are even more expensive than Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and the entire developing Asia. Manufacturing wages are fast catching up with Greece and Portugal with about 70% of the weaker Eurozone countries. Source is the financial times titled "Chinese wages now high than in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico". Whoever still thinks China is competing with cheap labor is incredibly out of date. It is the supply chain and infrastructure that makes China so attractive for manufacturing goods even though labor is more expensive. Even with more expensive labor costs, most still choose to manufacture in China simply because it ends up cheaper. The Chinese are also best known for their disciplined workers. If you think the Chinese are bad, trying making something in other developing countries. The revelation will come quick. You can't compare China with a developed country. Of course China would be worse than a developed country in many areas but are easily the best in the developing world.

China still follows their version of communism, but it’s really more like poorly regulated socialism. They embody a lot of the aspects of communism in practice that make it unappealing while incorporating elements of capitalism because it was necessary to enrich the country and perpetuate the system. The Soviet Union did a similar thing under Gorbachev, but they also gave more political freedom, eventually leading to revolution. China showed with the Tiananmen Square massacre that they wouldn’t allow that to happen. The people have to remain apolitical unless they’re venerating the government. They can’t call out the bribing of inspectors and other regulators to keep unsafe food products and medicines from being discontinued. That’s why they’re in this situation.

It's so interesting what you said about the fact that many people end up dying from fake Chinese bear and such. I've actually lost two good friends that have gone to China to teach English and literally within the first week of being there, they both died due to some form of intoxicative consumption. This was on two very separate occasions (several years apart) and they didn't know each other at all. It just seemed strange to me that both my friends who chose to go there died of similar causes and in similar ways. Poignant stuff. Anyway, I believe this is my first comment on your videos, so let me make a quick introduction. I'm also from South Africa - Johannesburg to be exact, and also have a keen interest in all things asian as well as motorcycling. So naturally your channels piqued my interest on various levels and I've been following them both for quite some time now. I think the work you do is terrific and immensely inspiring as well as objective. I wish you all the best for your journey to Northern China, which I'm following closely, and want to encourage you to keep at it, even in spite of the recent difficulties you've been experiencing with Chinese authorities and society in general. Keep up the good work!!

Oh yeah! Accurate as hell. If it's a fake gas station it's probably not connected to any sewage system as well. Therefore you just have an out house style slit or drop toilet that may or may not ever be pumped out. Fricken disgusting if you ever run into one. Again it is all about the money. You make money selling gas; no money is made allowing people to sh*t in your toilet. The filth also discourages people from using the toilet as well.

Luckily for China no one thought to check for dog meat so Uk continues to happily eat those imports. When you can save 50p a kg, people are happy to eat any meat if they think it saves them money.

The people are rude, dirty, arrogant, and so self centered. South Korea and Japan on the other hand I started going back to those countries regularly. Especially Japan, it was a complete 180 from China. The people were polite and mindful of others, also they would go out of their way to help me for directions.

I've been pick pocketed, scammed, and yelled at just for asking for directions. AND I HADN'T EVEN LEFT THE AIRPORT! But man korea was great. It helped that the language in Korea was easy to learn to read and speak as well so that was a definite plus. As for chinesr..very difficult to have learned before going. I want to go to Japan next. One should not compare China with others especially Japan and South Korea the simple reason is JAN and S Korea have much less population and have been capitalism for many decades.... China has its big population plus so much to develop from hygiene to social security and so on. It can appear that some modern provinces such as Shangai, Beijing, Canton, Fujian etc. Also lots of modern clothes, many new cars and super rich leaders and landlords, so forth. But this is only a small portion of people. 3/4 people are struggling to live up a decent life. The gap of the poor and rich is too wide ! @

There must be a significant amount of contamination (ground water) that gets into the storage tanks. With a twisted names from other established brands doesn't establish any brand of which it is the main objective of business anyway, they should have a culture of establishing names with originality like Haier, Huawei and so on, if this two can make it then the culture of plagiarizing others should stop because if China can make quality fakes what is the point of keeping that kind of bad marketing practice ? Why not just use own brand?

  • @revive5

    @revive5

    6 жыл бұрын

I know that but such understanding is more relevant if one is from a smaller country but China already got the knowhow and the market and then there has be a starting point towards something new including to branch off from such plagiarizing mindset and mega advertising has not been used by some now established China brands like Huawei, ZTE or Haier as some of these China companies showed that starting as online brand before getting into mainstream as Huawei does, a lot of excuses can be accepted during the earliy stage of China rising but now the country do have what it take to do things better so I think if they continue the names copying culture that would be the real end for further opportunities as some other Asian emerging economies like Vietnam or Indonesia might reach a state of repute one day

People do it in Australia too. Send milk powder in bulk to China, where the locals pay top dollar for imported product because they don't trust the local supply. People may look at these videos and think they're unfair or even racist, painting Chinese products with a broad brush of being counterfeits and ripoffs, but unfortunately the local Chinese population in China doesn't trust Chinese products either.

My sister almost died from using Blood pressure medication from China; the government in our native country bought the fake BP medication and it was distributed to the Social security pharmacies where thousands of BP patients would go pick up their medication, many of them died, others were left with major health issues like my sister. Most of those patients got monetary compensation but at what cost ! Life, major health issues for life. Thanks for the video.

Its so weird because Aliexpress and Alibaba have banned fake items. I bought some Vans shoes from there and they were 100% legit.

They have banned fake items... And you believe they are able to control this? 🤣 Many fakes are so good they are not that easy to recognize and when they get cought sellers have a dozen alternative accounts. Do you think they would be able to stop YOU, if you wanted to sell fakes there?

Lol don't believe them. Obviously everything there is fake. There are better quality replicas like the guy above me said. You can only get official Vans shoes in reputable stores.

It would be nice if developing countries learnt from the mistakes other countries made, but they continue to follow the same route and have the same problems, and they continue to think they can do it better. Using communism as a basis for political control is one example, or trying to fix prices in shops to stop inflation, or devaluing the countries currency to solve inflation problems. The greatest lesson from history is that most ignore its lessons...
