Charlie Munger Roasting People for 5 Minutes Straight

For my private stock portfolio & revealing insights into my investment strategy, head over to: / theswedishinvestor

Charlie Munger isn't just one of the greatest investor who has ever lived, he is also one of the few brilliant minds who basically has no filter. When he sees something which he thinks is wrongdoing or stupid, he just can't help but being opinionated and speak up about it, which I think is hilarious.
In this video I've gathered some of Charlie Munger's funniest moments when he is roasting people. Hope you enjoy!

The bad thing is in corporate structures the Mungers of the world aren't promoted and America is not Sweden so it's more risky to start a business venture. That's we don't have more people like him. It's a shame we glorify people who pretend to speak to power but who really follow the consensus but we villify the ones who really are not blindly following trends. I've even seen some dum dums going after Charlie but they are going after younger people with great track records like Nate Silver ( i know forecasting not investment but it's really the same) or Michael Burry (then again this is probably Elon fanboys he angered)

that guy that Charlie played golf with told him "what good is health if you can't buy money with it." That should be correct. People should consider that they can't buy money with health. But ALL people that I ever worked with exactly do that! People buy money with their health by working so hard all those extra hours and undergoing all those stress that cause them to lose a lot of health..but they are proud of it just because they earn additional money. They buy money with their health.. as for me, i resigned ftom those jobs whose earnings are entirely dependent on the amount of hours worked.. i am now on sales work which has a flexible time, and more importantly continuously learning these investment methods so that stocks could earn things for me even if i sleep.. thank you Swedish Investor for these videos because it is one way of helping us be free from the situation where we have to buy money with health 😊 (in my opinion most people buy money using their health)

  • @TheSwedishInvestor

This is a valid point Lev Erage, I do agree with you that (indirectly) people are buying, or perhaps exchanging, health for money all the time. And one should probably be cautious to which degree one does this, it can be done excessively.

@@TheSwedishInvestor Yes..most people that I know around me do it excessively 😢 And when I tell them the words of Robert Kiyosaki that "don't work hard, but make your money work hard for you" they don't believe me and suspect that I'm about to convince them to avail some investments so that I could get commission from them.. If only they know how to make money work, they won't have to suffer much.. The idea that money should work for the person is an idea that appeals only to a few.. Most people when told about it, they won't believe it or won't like it. Kiyosaki said that being rich is "hard-wired".. But then again, if most people become rich, with only a few people not rich, it will be bad for the economy 😅

Not sure if this was a line from Munger. It goes like this "What the brain cannot remember, it cannot use." A lot of the content looks awfully familiar, but this video certain shook up my memories and helped with recollecting the good lessons.

Now it’s actually pretty inspiring to see someone at his age, +85 (at least in every clip) to have such a humor and a clever attitude full of quotes you could even write a book about it. Considering he lost a child an nearly went blind.
