Don't know about anybody else, but that sure doesn't like fun for me, right on top of each other, boats getting damaged bobbing too close to ea. other, not to mention fights once the alcohol takes hold, bathroom trips ? not for me, I like to enjoy myself on the water, not be stressed out !

@wydryfly Are you always so jealous and envious of others, Just because you could not afford anything at that age it does not mean others can’t! Even if those boats did belong to their parents what difference does that make, Just because you and your family are broke it doesn’t mean everyone else has to be miserable like you! And no my parents did not buy me a boat but my grandfather did Will me his boat when I was 14, I was able to pay for all the expenses working 2 summer jobs! The average family will usually be financially stable before having children while others have children and then worry about how to pay for things, Those are the people that end up flipping burgers and then complain about how they can’t afford to raise a family!

Honestly, there is so many 18-21 year olds with their family wealth . You would expect someone 40-60 driving the boats but nope. Even the kid on the Jet Ski looks 16. They don’t appreciate what they have and just wreck the boats or drive while drunk. Law enforcement should be more strict with this

I wouldn’t want to be there, but tethering and boat hopping is popular on lakes as well. I was the slow driver for my boat. It’s not relaxing to be closely surrounded by motorcraft, paddle craft and at low speeds fighting wind drift. Ditto on the bumper comment.

Depends on the people. sitting in one spot all day isn't fun to me. I just wish they would make it where you have to take a two day boating safety and driving class. The amount of dumb crap. Like lets jump off the back of the boat while its running and then wonder why our foot got cut off or something. Im in OK and every year someone literally loses their head from boat crashes..good luck out there and be safe

Definition: “roving fender,” that isn't tied on, but instead, is managed by one of your crew and can be placed wherever needed at the last minute.

totally agree! The whole intercostal waterway is a mess - in the 70's and 80's it was awesome. a few knuckleheads in the 90's. last time i was there was 2018.... no need to go back as I would rather recall the fond memories and go somewhere else

I can see that the lucrative business to be in down there is doing fiberglass/chip & scratch repair, gel coat, paint, etc. Look how many had no fenders out and just grinding on the boat next to them. I'll bet the shops doing those little touch up repairs are doing quite well.

Looks to me like the sailboat was anchored with the engine off. The powerboat was in gear and caught the sailboat's anchor line with their prop and reeled the sailboat in. No bueno, capt poweboat!

@oaklandmax You are 100% correct, I was searching to see if anyone else noticed! The wind was blowing from the right to the left so there is no way the sailboat would have been drifting to the right, Also like you stated you can see the sailboat’s anchor line get caught on the stern of the Wellcraft! That Wellcraft should not have been crossing so close to the bow of the sailboat!

You know those leo's can take the boat if they find so much as a joint or even a roach. It's amazing to see the yearly auction. 😅😅

Just because you failed to make something of your life it doesn’t mean others did the same, And even if it is daddy‘s boat who cares! Yes as I learned to drive a stick shift in my dad’s pantera at 15. Rember he saying ok son at 110 let it off now. If one drove that car it gets squally at 115. That was back in 83. Let kids be kids learn and grow some.

I’m *intimately* familiar with those law enforcement boats lol. I was jet skiing down there in unfamiliar water a few years back and entered a HORRIBLY marked manatee “no wake” zone. *BWOOP BWOOP* and before I know it, I’m tied to a police boat. The dude was actually really cool, though…I don’t think we even ended up with a ticket…and as a bonus, a group of dolphins swam along next to us on the way home. Florida is a really cool place to boat…and an even better place to fish…just don’t be an idiot, stay laser-focused on all signage and forget the alcohol if you’re in charge. A lot of blithering morons end up with DUIs down there…”I diDn’T kNow yOu CoUldN’t dRinK AnD *hiccup* fLy…A bOaT…”

Sued FWC twice - won both.

The sailboat was properly anchored. The power boat drove on top of the anchor rode causing the sailboat to move forward into the powerboat. Very clear.

Yes. They rode up on the anchor of the sailboat and caused the sailboat to bump theirs and keep bumping till they back off. Have a lovely day.

We raft up at an island on the weekends. Luckily only like 10 boats show up at the most and it's pretty peaceful. Some people even walk out from the beach at low tide to get to the island.

This gives me anxiety just by watching it lol

Boat name involved in a collision: Who cares 2 ... Wtf 😂

Funny thing, by comparison - a few decades ago I had some friends who lived in northern California near where a couple decent size rivers came together. I would go there with them and they would take us out salmon fishing in the fall. There were so many boats you could almost walk across the river, and it was probably an eighth mile or better across. These guys were mostly trolling, so dragging several lines behind it boat. I don't think I ever heard two boats even touch. I think I only saw one time where a couple guys got their lines caught up. But the one guy apologized over and over, admitting it was his first boat, first time fishing like that. The other guy said hey no problem buddy, and had them untangled in a minute or two. And mind you this all starts at around 4:30am in Oct so it's quite dark for the first several hours. What a big difference from what these folks are doing. Although the fisherman I don't think were doing much heavy drinking either. Lol.

* I forgot to mention these fishing boats were often within a foot of each other, sometimes boats that close on either side and usually one or two are going different directions. It was quite impressive to see those guys pull that off almost flawlessly.

4:25 I wonder if he's aware that he's driving around with his anchor hanging down. Unless he's just leaving it there intentionally since he's going slow. But that seems like it would still be a bad idea at any speed. Unless there's something I'm not aware of? But as a Navy veteran with over 50yrs of boating experience I have always felt that pulling the anchor at least 'out' of the water before getting underway usually works best. ;-)

@mikedrake5373 Watch the video a little closer, The sailboat was not a drift! The sailboat was anchored and while under power the Wellcraft crossed over the sailboat’s anchor line! When they crossed the anchor line it must have gotten caught on either the prop or rudder end it pulled the sailboat into them!

I remember when I did stuff like this, I was 3 and my brother and I would compare who could pee the furthest.
