Wonderful. Thanks Leanna - I'm chuffed to bits that you have been able to do this video. It was my request and the video is absolutely spot on. I agree that it's not common that people, including me, own their mistakes and your advice as always is gold-dust.

great advise as always, i went through a stage of blindly following the lane my satnav says only to find myself in the wrong lane after many detours and wrong exits later i went back to looking at road markings and signs and relied less on my satnav, since doing that i am quite shocked at how often the satnav wants me to be in the wrong lane for where im supposed to be going.

Yes it's funny how we become so used to staring at the screen, we forget to look at the real road markings! Easily done, but well done for identifying and correcting it 👍

Great video as always. Your channel has really helped me to pass my Mod2 test this week. However, now I’ve passed I am legally able to carry a pillion but have had no guidance or practical training and am very nervous about it. I was wondering if you were able to upload a video giving practical advice for carrying a pillion over and above the bike adjustments covered in show me/tell me section of the mod2 test. Thank you. Nick.

Not yet a bike rider but the amount of times I've been cut off at roundabouts either by not giving way to the right or people diving across lanes with no signals is mind boggling.

Perhaps Nottingham is different but here in south Wales a lot of the roundabout (and other) lane markings are so worn out that they're almost impossible to see and follow. At night and in the rain they're next best thing to invisible. :(

Some are similar to your description but they do seem quite good at re-painting them relatively quickly. That said they also over-paint a lot of the arrows at traffic lights causing a significantly raised arrow which can make the tyres track and weave! Thanks for your comment 😊

For me, your stand out sentiment is the ammount of road users that will quite selfishly inconvenience others due to their mistake.. Sometimes quite frankly, I'm staggered by it.

It's bizarre isn't it?! Saw another today, a car cutting from lane 1 to 3 on a roundabout in front of two other cars in lane 2 who were not best pleased 🤷. All they needed to do was stay in their lane for 1000 metres up to the next roundabout, go all the way round and back again but noooooooo, let's inconvenience everyone else and push in.... The incompetence and rudeness of it 😬

I'm going to be taking my motorcycle das soon, I'm feel most nervous about the independent part of the test more so because of my crappy sense of direction, also bigger round abouts with multiple lanes. What advice would you give me? 😅 This video has helped with the roundabout side of things quite a bit. Thanks.

Hello 👋, don't worry about taking wrong turnings. The test is not a navigational test, such that if you take a wrong turning but do it correctly and safely, you cannot be marked down for it. So if you set yourself up for a turning and then realise it's incorrect, just take the turning, do it safely and you will not even pick up a fault for it. You can take multiple wrong turnings even if the examiner is saying turn right and you turn left, so long as what you do is safe, they won't mark it. I hope this eases your nerves! Thanks for the comment 😊

😂🤣😂. Really!! that’s happened to me lots in the 37yrs of driving cars, lorry’s, & bikes and what I do is just keep going round until you can get in the right lane. Don’t ever compromise, your safety and the safety of other road users. It’s a shame you have to do this sort of video there’s no courtesy on the road anymore everybody thinks there more important. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

@@motorcyclelessonsuk Hi, glad you’re good. I’m ok thanks. I saw a brilliant example of a vehicle in the wrong lane today, a three lane junction at a roundabout, left lane left turn only, middle lane straight on and right lane straight on and right turn, all three lanes very clearly marked by large white directional arrows on approach to the junction, a van driver in the left hand lane decided at the last minute he wanted to turn right, causing mayhem and a few horns were sounded, lol

Hi, would you advise riders to ALWAYS do a lifesaver whenever they change road position? I understand that the drill for approaching a T junction involves a left or right lifesaver to position 1 or 3. But should riders also do lifesavers, for instance, when changing from 2 to 3 moving out to make themselves more visible to vehicles in a side road, changing from 2 to 1 to avoid a pothole, and so on? Thanks.

More and more peoples lane discipline is pretty bad nowadays, doesnt help when councils are dumb enough to put too many lanes unnecessarily on a roundabout, our council has put left only lanes on a roundabout for zero reason, only 2 lanes needed on a normal 4 exit roundabout and they put 3 lanes 😂
