Richard you might want to look into hooking up a thermostat to your gas stove. I have 2 propane stoves with thermostats and they work great. Might make your life a little easier. Thanks Jennifer for making life a little brighter.

Do you have a bounty of walnuts this year? We have a ton of them in Michigan. Back in the early 60's my grand father cracked a bunch for me the night before I was to travel back home, we didn't make it too far the next morning and they wanted to throw me out of the car......LOL

I do have an abundance of Poplar, Pine, Dogwood and Cedar none of which are firewood. I had been buying wood but it became scarce. So I did the next best thing

It was just a novelty at this point not being able to get hardwood from anyone.
I don't think the dogs like the taste of the balls they find in the woods. Black Walnuts have several benefits but a dog's fetch toy, not so much. lol.
