I got to meet Sam before the match! She was absolutely amazing and you could tell she is such a kind, wonderful person. It was awesome to meet such an impactful player. Sam made so much progress for women in sports and I can't wait to see what strides she will be able to make for women in sports media!

love having y’all back on my screen, and Becky too! I’m grateful to witness this new chapter in the wake of a devastating retirement, and I cried a bunch watching Sam’s ring of honor ceremony, then laughed through tears at Sam realizing she was sobbing. also was waiting for Sam to tell Lynn the loss to Seattle wasn’t her fault at the end of this ep, so go Lynn and go Bats!

Thank both of you for all the effort you put in at the Courage. I know things weren't great behind the scenes, but the fans appreciate everything you did for us. Lynn was saying that she feels attachment to both teams and I get that as it was gratifying to see her win the playoffs last year even at a different team. You both are legends. On the topic of the game you mentioned Manaka a little, but I want to highlight that on the third girl her work rate was incredible. You mentioned in the return to the area that you have left behind that legacy of hard work and I think she displayed that perfectly in this goal. She lays the ball off to Bianca St. Georges (76:19) puts her head down and turns on the jets. She covers so much ground to get to the far corner and make it possible to put that cross in and I love seeing players rewarded for that effort. I do think Houston made a mistake by not seeing that and closing her down, which I expect other teams will begin to see as well and adapt to that, so I am interested in seeing how she manages to keep being involved as teams limit her options.

I am so HAPPY you are back.... I would have (and was) really missed you guys!! Look forward to also seeing Becky too.....

Ion is a major broadcast network. It's a free over-the-air channel, like ABC, NBC, Fox etc. Like the CW, they tend to favor programming geared towards women.

One thing I noticed from the new Kansas city stadium is they have to take stairs to their locker room. Dibenia got hurt and she had to go upstairs. That's nuts.

Legally with the contract with the PA and i assume whatever agreement they have with UKG nwsl had to have a challenge cup but didn’t say what the cup had to be. So that’s how you get this.

the thing w Emma Hayes is - yes her wording ('inappropriate') and timing (bringing this into the discussion of player-coach relationship which is much more sinister and abuse of power in nature) are unfortunate to say the least but anyone who has watched the whole clip of her explaining why she thinks p-p relationship presents managerial difficulties would understand where she is coming from. Personally i do not disagree w her pov, and she is not even advocating a total ban of it, just saying it is v v difficult for the coaching staff having to navigate these. You can disagree w her ofc but some of the woso fans on twitter is so fucking annoying w their discourse and branding EH as homophobic....begging these ppl to have one ounce of critical thinking abilities.

Hello Sam. I hope you enjoy your return to Manchester. I commented for a year that Manchester United needed Oshoala, but alas. Will you have time to visit York in the adjacent county and try the place that serves stuffed Yorkshire puddings? If not then once again, alas, poor Jorvik (you are an English graduate). I really don’t see how menstruation and ACL injuries would correlate. I think that’s just something men who don’t know what they’re saying like to throw around “oh it’s because women have periods”

The community/charity shield has been going on for about 100 years I think in the men's game. All the gate receipts and programme sales are distributed to the 124 c.ubs from the 1st found of the FA cup and they distribute the only to charities of their choice
