I expected a more fancy grave of Bert Newton rather than just a simple cross.
1:32 The Demis Roussos spoof was a real gem! Cracks me up every time I see it. Pity you didn't show where Roussos himself comes storming out and puts his hands on Bert's shoulders. The look on Bert's face was *priceless!*
Brilliant job Paul. Very respectful and a digital memory that will show new audiences what these men were like. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.
I’m 38 years old, but grew up in Melbourne watching Bert everyone day on tv. He was a legend living, and a legend now that he’s passed.
Thank you for showing the grave of Albert ( Bert ) Newton . It was done with dignity & respect as are all your videos. It made it easy to find . IHave you considered putting which lawn sections , row & grave numbers on the channel so others can pay respects. I visited it yesterday. Thanks .

Thanks, I didn’t keep a record of where they were buried but I found it quite easy to find the locations. Sometime I may go through the raw footage and the put the directions in the description.

@@PaulHagl Bert Newton is buried in The Cedars lawn . Row G Y . Don't know grave number , but is close to the road . Bud Tingwell is in Fuchsia, Garden 2 Bed 26, position 43 . With the hope it helps others to pay respect to these amazing people.
Another comment, please do a Late Show special. I have the champagne edition DVD and watch it from time to time just to relive the classic jokes and humour these guys put out.

@@morkmorgs2188 one of, if not, the best comedy shows in australia. That and frontline. Which is no surprise. The humour is just so smart. And Frontline honestly right up there too. Now I need to go watch it on STAN.
Every time you do a video it’s always awesome.. your mad max one has made me want to Explore them in person (mad max’s house is around the corner from us) also the castle and late show made the 90s fun
"Bud" Tingwall was a Photo Reconnaissance pilot (Mosquitoes and Spitfires) in World War 2, flying 75 sorties in the Middle East. It was because he could supply his own RAAF Flight Lieutenant uniform that he was able to act in the 1946 film "Smithy" as a control tower officer. it was the beginning of a great career.

Great video Paul. From Manchester UK.
Used to look forward to watching Moon Face in the mornings on channel 10 as a kid when I had a sick day from school. Great sense of humour

Love this stuff!!❤ great job 👏
About time you released a new video mate 👍
Great video, super interesting 🤘
Another thing Charles “Bud” Tingwell was in was the mini series Changi which was based on a group of ww2 prisoners of war survivors and is well worth checking out it has some really good supporting actors like Stephen Curry , Mark Preistly to name a couple.

Can't believe I missed that. That was a great show.
Great vid Paul. Been to the Springvale Necropolis a few times...wife's got some relatives buried there. Pretty cool to think Bert's there. It's 'FEW-SHA' btw, just like the flower and colour. Maybe not your thing.

17:53 I wonder how many times if at all they replace the headstones of famous graves? If not it's looking pretty good for a 105 year old headstone.

They made stuff to last back then. It was definitely the original.
12:19 And you forgot his stint alongside Leonard Teale, George Mallaby and Norman Yem in *Homicide.*

That ’s a very small cross marking the grave of such a big celebrity. Was Patti pinching pennies on Bert's send off?? RIP bert
Don Lane is buried up in Sydney near Maquarie Park Cemetery. I haven't been home to Australia in years, so its nice to see where some of these legends are buried.
13:30 Lucky Grills was *NOT* in "Matlock Police". The regular cast of that show was Michael Pate, Grigor Taylor(later replaced by Tom Richards), Paul Cronin and Vic Gordon.
