UPDATE: OUR CAT El the wonderful mommy you see here in our video has passed away in her sleep last weekend after having her for several years of her life. We got her when she was a baby, we watched her become a mom and a woman cat 💗 she now gets to be with her son who passed a few years before her ❤️ we miss her dearly

@@NitaMendez An average life of a domestic cat is between 15 to 20 years, except one female cat in Texas that was born in 1967 and finally died in 2006 at 39 years of age due to renal failure. Feral & Stray cats usually live between 1 to 3 years at the most, if not poached by your local cat meat shop for their flesh, meat or fur.

Great video! The reason mother cats sometimes separate their kittens and hide them in different spots is to protect them from predators. That way, if a predator finds one hiding spot, they don’t wipe out the entire litter.

She is so beautiful, and those white ones are truly gorgeous, they look like perfect angels! Of course they are all precious but there is something so special and perfect about a white cat 😸

If a mother rejects kittens initially, you may need to care for them yourself. Monitoring temperature can tell you if additional care such as bottle feeding is necessary. Stay strong, fur parents 💕

This video is very helpful, there’s so many things in here that usually ppl don’t mention. My feral cat who’s been coming to my home since last winter is pregnant think it’s close to 8 weeks. She’s a egyptian mau. Never seen a cat give birth and I’m a little nervous trying to find as much info on the internet as I can. The weather is getting colder by the day especially in the night and she’s been staying in my house most of the time rarely going out. That must mean she’s close to giving birth and also careful to be safe from predators. I’m so excited about getting kittens… Update…She gave birth last night right before I was getting ready for bed, on 1st of October to 6 healthy kittens. Took her about 2 and a half to 3 hours to deliver. Instead of 9pm I went to bed at 4am. 😅They’re so tiny…🐾

My momma Feral has been coming here, since last spring she bought me her 4 week old 2 kittens, Thursday she had 5 where she wanted to have them didn’t work for me 😮 so I got her in a bathroom closet, she had them there. We keep it quite and try to keep other cats away so she wouldn’t be so stressful on her. Now Rusty is a great momma cat! That’s 16 cats and counting I got 1 more momma cat due soon 🤦🏼‍♀️

They are so cute. Been there done that. Our cat Saria had kittens and her sister, mother and Aunts all had kittens at the same time. We had about 20 kittens at one time. So watching her give birth ain't graphic for me. Good luck with them. I just told my daughter I wish I knew were ya lived because I would adopt one of the white ones. I told her I would have 4 instead of just 3. Our cat Saria was born in our daughters room. Shes been in the house since the day shes been born. But Mittens was a rescue and Penelope somebody gave her friend and she brought her here at 5 weeks old.

where are they?

🥰 Our Rosie's first litter was 5. Black short hair "rosie" vs Maine coon "daddy orange Maine coon". She just had a small litter of 3 babies 3 days ago . The baby that pasted was probably the last born. Best to keep an eye on them. My Rosie's first litter, the 5th I had to poke and stimulate her to do her job. Mommas get very tired after 5.

I love your love for them. I feel the same about wanting to keep the kittens but I don't have the money or the time to devote to that many. I only have one these days and she came into my life in a sad way so I really felt the need to save her and got her fixed so I don't add to the over population of cats.

so the reason she freaked out is because prior to them going into labor you need to lay out a few comfy spots for them to start to look for a place to nest, your queen probably already had that place in mind, she was most likely trying to get to her nest

How exciting!! Of course! Something I wish someone would have told me during this process is that mama cat will know what she is doing and the process is very natural! Oh and once they get a little bigger they are every where 😭😂 opening doors was a struggle because they all try to run out at once! At the time, alot of information I got was from Google honestly 😂

You should have a flatter surface for her to stretch out in while giving birth. That way she can relieve any pressure with different positions. Momma can smother kittens if confined in too small of a space.

Did the white kittens have any spots anywhere? I read that solid white cats are deaf, because the gene that develops the pigment of their fur also develops their hearing. Was curious because these kittens look solid white.

Pure white cats with blue eyes can be deaf (usually males), but not always:)

None were deaf or blind 😊 very alert and normal. They did have grey tip tails but its hard to see.

We buried it in a taped box in the yard.

My cat is full white and she does not have any blood in her fur during delivery, it's mean she deliver all the kittens without bleeding

She separates her kittens because she thinks they are not safe in the place where you put them. My cat just gave birth three days ago.

It took a few hours for my cat to push them all out. She did have tummy movement in between the births also. She will be a little bloated after but its completely normal, now if she's BIG big and you know for sure she has more inside (you can try to carefully feel) then take her to the vet with her babies otherwise she might have only had two. Calling the vet just to ask a few questions could help too 👍

How do you know when they’re finished giving birth ? Is it safe to let her fall asleep? Will she wake up on her own?

You’ll know when at least a couple of hours passes without more coming out, it is definitely safe to let her rest/sleep as much as she wants to, she will be exhausted. She will wake up when she is ready to 👍 don’t worry it’s a very natural process

Hello cat lover's. My cat her name KAT. She is adopted & pregnant. KAT would not use liter box with her daughter from a first litter nor the one I made separately. Want to keep the mom after birth of new babies but not if I cannot get her to use liter box. HELP

Hey! 😄 besides the white one who passed the rest were fine! Healthy, strong and playful! I litter trained them and got them use to real food! They all went to loving families 💚 most who already had pets and kids 😊 except the first born boy 😻 his name is Max and he's staying here forever 😂 definitely the most rambunctious of the group but he's too cute! We knew we had to keep just one! Now we have mom, dad and baby together 💚

My girls is gonna go in labor in 2 weeks or less ... I have hat pads and heat blankets .. good thing it's summer also. .and not winter but the damn stray cat in my backyard can care for 8 kittens during winter I ain't worried lol

Awe 5 days ago my cat had her kittens my cat had 6 as well one didn’t make it so we only have 5 now

I have a mama cat with kittens less than 2 weeks old and they're covered in fleas I know how to safely get the fleas off of the newborns but nobody can tell me what to do with mama cat during the process and I'm afraid she might reject her kittens afterwards can anybody please tell me what to do how to help the mama ?

Wait till the kittens can at least walk and are alert before you bathe them in dawn and semi warm water, towel them off briefly, rub coconut oil on their fur and wrap them in a towel again, start at the face and base of the head and work your way down the neck and back with tweezers picking off every single flea off every single kitten make sure to dry them when you are done they will get COLD separate them from momma just until you can do the same bathing process with her it’s necessary or it will keep spreading back and forth between them, WASH all bedding in the room their in and the bedding they use as well in dawn and hot water just repeat repeat repeat eventually you will kill them all off. Be gentle with the tweezers as to not pull fur or pinch them

And the farmer that owns the land says just don't feed them and let them all starve to death and die of blah blah blah! And I just can't do that. 😔 so thanks I will be trying ur method and hope it works ,while also trying to find people to adopt kittens and shelters!!!!! The farmer my boss and landlord has made it clear that animal control is not welcomed on the property! Sooo I m trying to find away to cage them and take them to some sort of organization that can vaccinate and fix them???? I live the midlands of SC. Let me know if u have any ideas!!?? Again thanks.

Unfortunately not every kitten makes it and that's completely natural and realistic which is what I was trying to show and not many people are prepared for that during the process. Educating and informing was the goal. The graphic warning in the title is there for a reason.
