The cage is horrible, I understand the purpose but a queen needs to go where she wants especially when going into labour. The restlessness could be as a result of being in a cage for days. Just sad

She seemed to have prepared the cat for labour with the best knowledge she has. The momma cat & kittens are alright and well loved by the girl.

I see people here being mad for the cat being in a cage but as a vet I can assure you this is just fine! At the clinic we keep cats in cages with food water and a bed with some toys if someone brings them in for the birthing. And fleas are normal

@@dukeandamy3135 are you a vet? I think it's smart for people to listen to people who are trained in this sort of thing, then someone who has no idea.

Hello, just wanna ask. When a pregnant cat is having contractions, how long would it be before she gave birth according to ur own experience? Btw, u have a very pretty cat 😻

Its April 14th 2021 and my cat nibbled my finger and pulled me to my closet where I made a nest for her.

The only time you should ever intervene where a cat chooses to give birth and make her nest is if it will but her or her kittens in potential harm (young mamas don’t always know better). She needs to pick her own space. If you feel like you need to monitor her, you can put her in your room or a quiet room with heat and a few nesting options with all of the comforts and space she needs.

Cage isn’t the best idea. Kittens could suffocate or choke to death if they get their heads stuck between the bars. There is a reason why breeding beds exist.

This is actually disgusting putting your cat in a cage to monitor her labour, do you know how stressful that is for a cat? You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself, imagine you being put in a cage giving birth, God I hope you don’t breed, let alone breed anymore cats

  • @lowclasswhitetrashhypocrite

Wtf is wrong with you!? Why would you put her in a CAGE!? She is about to give birth, and you make the event a thousand times more stressful for her, by keeping her locked in a CAGE! A CAHE! Are you kidding me!? 😳 And then you say, she began whining all night, and would only stop whining, when you came over to rub her belly. But you aren't rubbing her belly at all! You just keep petting her through the cage you've got her trapped in! Wtf is wrong with you?! I can't believe that you thought this was okay! Not only did you think it was okay, but you literally posted a video showing the world what you are doing, and acting like this is completely normal! I really hope that no one is influenced by this video, to lock their cat in a cage for days, or God knows HOW long, before she gives birth! This is NOT normal! This is not the way to do this! This is extremely stressful for your cat, and extremely cruel and neglectful behavior! And you post this, as if you have any idea how to properly care for a laboring cat! Idk where you learned this, but I'm here to tell ya that this is sick, and very harmful for your cat! You should probably take this video down, because no one is going to be okay with this! And you don't want some kid to come on here, and think that this is okay. And take this as some educational tutorial on how THEY should do these things, if THEIR cat is having kittens! No no no! Please don't do this! I'm sorry! I'm not trying to be mean. You clearly don't know what you are doing, and someone should teach you. And being a b**ch about it, is not the way I should attempt to educate you on this, I know! I just lost my temper a little bit, and I apologize for that. This just really frustrated me! I wanted to yell through the screen, and tell you to stop! But you do seem like you love the cat. You don't seem like you are intentionally being abusive and neglectful here! I honestly belive that you just didn't know any better. And I'm sure you love your cat! I just wish you had someone around you who knew what they were doing, and could tell you that this is just not how you do this. Then teach you the right way to do this. To ensure the cat isn't under so much stress prior to the birth. Stress on the cat such as this, could cause health issues for both the mother, and her kittens, once they are finally born! And it could also cause her to not want to deliver in time, due to her not being able to find a safe, comfortable, stress free environment, to actually deliver her babies in. Which could cause even more issues and risks to their health! Idk. I'm no expert! I'm not a cat scientist or anything! You don't have to take my advice. But it appears that you do have access to the internet. So I suggest you do some online research, for future reference! Education is key! Good luck in the future! And I apologize if I offended you in any way. I'm always preaching positive criticism, and I kind of lost my cool there for a minute! But i think I was able to bring it back down a notch, and compose my self enough to give some sort of good advice! 👍But I do hope for the best, for you, your current, and future pets! ✌💛
