Casting Brass | Sand Rammer - 3D Printed Pattern
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
For awhile I wanted to make a sand rammer for ramming up my sand molds. I have also wanted to try casting some brass. These two things came together when I decided to design and cast a sand rammer in brass using a 3D printed pattern.

Hi, I'm from Iran, your viewer, with your videos, I'm eager to do it. You are great, my friend
09:05 had to rewatch this 10 times.. made my day
it really is satisfying when you make things by hand the first few times until you get inspired by somethng else and never get back to it....well worth the film time.....well worth the watching.
I really like it that you shared the entire proces and dit not left out details. This is why im subscribed;)
Your story telling style is both engrossing and unique. Thanks for raising the bar.
I seriously want a 3D printer, the possibilities are endless. awesome video!
The monotone comedy got me and I have watched this before without noticing it haha love it and awesome castings
you are the best metal caster on KZread by far
Well I am 5 years late viewing this but at least I subbed. Great job of casting.
That is so cool!! The black paint on the brass hammer was a fantastic touch!
Let's sand cast a sand casting tool to make more sand casts of the same tool. You sir are a meta genius and I applaud you.

You can make virtually anything with that 3D printer. Bravo
Great video made of great design, production and explanation. Must feel very nice to work with these knowing you are the only one on the planet to have one!
I'm learning a lot from your casting videos!!! so far I believe you do the best casting with the most narration. thanks for the knowledge

this guy has done a fair amount of ramming. subbed.
GREAT Job!!! Those are beautiful.
BRILLIANT idea X-ing the pattern to tranfer to the drag! I will incorporate that in my casting and eliminate some of the guessing. THANKS!
A piece of art as well as a useful tool - Congrats !
Well Done ! A mini-Masterclass on almost every aspect of Casting. Thanks for sharing !
The results speak for themselves. Just found your channel, really glad. I admire the cleanliness and efficiency of your work.
Wow, that's incredible work.. it's so awesome that you can prototype and make basically whatever you want, from a 3D model all the way to metal. Thanks for the video!
What a good job. Amazing. Thanks for sharing.
One of the best tutorial of casting DIY on the web...and you're very accurately in what you are doing...I suppose you're a designer or engineer. But hope there will be quickly a cheap metal 3D printer on the market....because pouring metals is dangerous.
Very well done, both of those are gorgeous! Fantastic work.
I Don't know how you manage to do it Mr Oltrogge, but you always manage to surprise me with such a great video. Thank you
Wonderful explanation :D thanks a lot. The sand rammers are just perfect!
This is only the second video I have seen of your work, very interesting and well done. I look forward to watching more. Thanks !

Thats the neatest mold i've ever seen and a great result too damn
Fascinating! I’ll probably never do something like this, but I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Thank you! 😁
What a treat for a Sunday night.
Love the logo treatment! Also, that hi-fill primer on a 3d-print is an excellent tip, thank you.
That's a work of art right there. nice job!!
8:40 "I'll highlight the grip detail with black paint" Admit it, you just didn't want to file out all the tarnish, so you just painted over it. :-D turned out very nice though.

My intention was to not have to file it at all in the grooves but I had to because of the mold lines. Then I had bright brass showing through the tarnish. Flat black paint became the obvious solution for making the grip detail the same color!
I always seem to find myself coming back to this video Mr. Oltrogee. it really is a spectacular video
Nice work, I have always fancied having a go at it myself.
Beautiful work.
haha that sand rammer text is a tongue- twister :-) very nice work !
Congrats!! One of the best channels y have met with... beautifully lighted, directed, clear & concise. ( no stupid music in the background...haha! ) And Your casts of course are true works of art... Very inspiring Brian. Best regards & thanks for sharing. Victor Micha Mexico City.
