Casting Brass | Sand Rammer - 3D Printed Pattern

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

For awhile I wanted to make a sand rammer for ramming up my sand molds. I have also wanted to try casting some brass. These two things came together when I decided to design and cast a sand rammer in brass using a 3D printed pattern.

    One of the best tutorial of casting DIY on the web...and you're very accurately in what you are doing...I suppose you're a designer or engineer. But hope there will be quickly a cheap metal 3D printer on the market....because pouring metals is dangerous.

    8:40 "I'll highlight the grip detail with black paint" Admit it, you just didn't want to file out all the tarnish, so you just painted over it. :-D turned out very nice though.

  • @Grunblau

    @Grunblau

    7 жыл бұрын

    My intention was to not have to file it at all in the grooves but I had to because of the mold lines. Then I had bright brass showing through the tarnish. Flat black paint became the obvious solution for making the grip detail the same color!
