1st video said the car was charging but its not. and mention BYD EV caught fire but not really a EV but a Hybrid, heard reports that its the hybrid controller mulfuction which cause the burning. One of the video i saw a Mercedes Burning but the video said its a Chinese EV. Bruhh. the video is overly biased. Do EV burn? Yes, Do Hybrid burn? Yes, Do ICE burn? Also yes. So basically all cars burn, i saw multiple BMW and Merc burn at the roadside last year but that does not mean Merc and BMW are bad cars?

He knows the formula to get random people pr viewers to be riled by his allegedly bias stance. It is well-known by T-tubers that if you want more clicks, you do not make non-controversial assertions. Instead you make horrendously bias claims that are skewed against fair and logically deduced assertions (but purported to be reasonable conclusions) .Even if you are criticised, or attacked by your viewers, you still get the same outcomes, which is many viewers and comments. The adage: "If a dog bites a man and caused the man to get rabies, it is a low view count material. But if a man bites a dog, and causes the dog to get rabies, it will go viral." Moral of this adage is: Do not feed these click baiters, who desires lots of viewers and subscribers, as it make them great incomes for making these videos.

thats what i called explode suspension, very effective, one time use, takes out your 100 kwh battery and your whole bank account every time

to do proper comparison, u should at least show the data of how many cases of EV fire per 10,000 or 100,000 vehicles for each brand, and divide by year.

I would never park my car next to a BYD. It’s started selling a lot in Hong Kong now, but the same incidents in Mainland China have also started occurring here with BYD vehicles.

Many of these video images were recorded years ago, and as we all know, the early EVs did have battery problems. However, that was not a problem for Chinese-made EVs alone, but for all EV brands. Tesla also had fire hazards with its early models.

To me hybrid cars are acceptable eventhough as time passes you still have to change the batteries and it definately cost alot. As for EV's it does not make sence at all. Many have experienced changing their batteries in less than 5 years and and not to mention about so many incidents happend to those vehicles every now and than. The cost for the new batteries and plus labour is too much. I will stick to 100% ICE vehicles. Unfortunately it's getting rare nowadays especially with a new models in the market.

On top of that many early EV adopters found out that EV maintenance cost is much higher compared to ICE after warranty.

Just use statistics. The number of car fires vs the millions of EV on the road is not that high. Same goes with airplane disasters, you hear about them every year, but if you look at the statistics, they are a much safer mode of transportation that driving. You have a much higher chance of dying in a car accident than flying. If you want to see car fires - you should look up Ferrari fires - they are not much heard about, but they are a huge problem if you look at how many Ferrari fires vs number of Ferrari on the road. Yet Ferraris are in demand luxury items, and people willing to buy them despite knowing the cars are prone to self combustion and fire.

BYD EVs are extremely reliable and do not catch fire easily. The videos shown are from older generation cars that were still not perfected. Here in the US we had problems with Chevy Bolt EVs catching on fire, but that issue was resolved. ICE cars catch fire more often than EVs.

Sometimes it is not the car, but the wire carrying the power to he charger, or, worst till, the charger itself. One way or another, somebody somewhere must have xperienced ac sockets catching fire, or gangwires bursting into flames. We never know when an EV burns. The main thing to consider is HOW TO PUT THE FIRE OFF SAFELY AND FFICIENTLY. PITY OUR FIREMEN. I heard lithium fires release toxic fumes.

This ICE catch fire logic has repeated so many times even by the mainstream media and gradually repeated downstream by everyone. We need to relook at this data and break it down as the statistic indeed correct, but they lump everything together. Such as arson, riot, electrical wiring, modification and etc. Just the Gender Pay Gap" It's like the same statistic that mainstream media are pushing which was widely debunked. The pay gap is indeed correct but when you break the statistic, it becomes a joke.

It is pretty hypocritical for EV users to hink they are saving he environment. Just happened that the carbon mission has been hifted from the end-user o he manufacturer and electricity provider, No? Moreover… just think, if you have a lot of cars waiting to charge at he same time at one location, this is the same as plugging many electric appliances together using one gangwire the same time.

Many EV owners have solar power at home which they charge their cars with. But even without that, as we move towards more green energy electric cars will become more green themselves while ICE cars will stay the same. So its still better.

Most EV owners aren’t buying it because they’ll save the World. They’re buying because it’s cheaper to run and maintain. No servicing needed, no oil changes, spark plugs etc …

Almost every vehicle is equipped with a Lithium Ion battery nowadays including the mandatory hybrids due to the emission standards.
