Freezing rain iced bridges in Texas Panhandle on Sunday morning, October 29, 2023. Several cars are caught sliding on icy bridges along I-40 in Amarillo. The first car spins out and blocks part of the right lane of the Interstate. Several sliding tractor-trailers manage to avoid the car. Another car slides into a median curb in Amarillo. Slow down, don't hit the brakes just take off the gas and steer through. People panicking causes issues more than just gliding on. Unless there's something in front of you and you desperately want to stop. Then cut the wheel to whichever direction is safest and steer. No gas, no brake. It's all steering and gliding to a stop on ice. Also driving 5 under will stop half of these problems. Some of yall are gonna high speed yourselves into an urn or box in the ground. If you're late, you're late better to show up late than to never be able to show up again.
Driving to fast for conditions is how the police would wright up any accident they responded to, at least they would here in Michigan, regardless of the speed a person was traveling. Keep yourself safe 'out there' while recording these videos.
